HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my dear friend Reginald Rabbit. Even though he is now living in a beautiful place far far far far away ( but nearby all the same ) I think of him every day and I miss him every day xxx
OH and Happy Birthday to me , Sherbet Sheep !
Pearl taught Mango, Doodle and myself of course, to always put other people before ourselves so that is what we always do .

Ah ! Peace at last
I am here at Clover Cottage, enjoying a quiet breakfast all on my own with just the sounds of the birds singing in the trees outside. Oh what joy. How wonderful to be here alone with my thoughts and how blessed I am to be living in this wonderful cottage with my amazing garden outside.
I wish you all a truly magnificent day doing whatever it is you love doing best.

Doodle is drawing Sherbet today
I heard a loud knock on my kitchen door. When I opened it there stood my dear friend Doodle holding his drawing book and his pencils. he told me that he had woken up bright and early full of inspiration and he just could not wait to gather up his pencils and start drawing. His first thought was me!
How lovely ! I do love being a model ! We went into my garden where I frolicked around happily doing what I love to do and Doodle captured it all in his magical way on his drawing book paper. What a wonderful talent he has. I think maybe when he goes home he may put lots of rainbow colours onto his drawings, but for now here I am showing you the lovely drawing of me and my hosepipe. I am very proud to have such a wonderfully creative friend like Doodle. Love from Sherbetx

Mango is eating feta cheese in Sherbet's kitchen this evening
I must show you the pretty bottles of olives and cheese that Doodle made for me while I was staying with him.
Here is a picture of one of them, it has cubes of feta cheese mixed in with olives and some herbs. I must admit I do not like the taste of feta cheese very much as it is too strong for my delicate taste buds but I know that Mango will be delighted when I serve him some on his very special tiny plate. I will invite him to dinner tonight and he can sit on his very own corner of my tablecloth and nibble the cheese cubes to his heart's content. I also still have some scrumptious leftover apple pie so we will eat that with lovely warm, yellow custard and then share a quiet evening together. We will chat about all the things that happened in my garden while I was away, locked out of my cottage, and then we will go into my comfy room where I keep my books and relax with delicious mugs of hot chocolate and I will read some wise words to Mango from my wise words books. It will be a very pleasant evening indeed. Just to remind you all to please keep yourselves very safe as the world outside of my perfect Clover Cottage can sometimes be a very dangerous place. I am sending all of you in the entire world some very special guardian angels to keep you protected. Love from Sherbetx

Hooray Sherbet is back in Clover Cottage
Hooray! Here I am back in very own dear, special, cosy Clover Cottage. Finally I now have a new key especially made for me by one of Doodle's very clever friends. In fact he made me 2 keys so I now have a spare one and I now have to find a very secret place to hide it in my garden so that if I get locked out again ( which knowing me, I may just be silly enough to do) I will be able to get in quite easily. Doodle was very kind to let me stay in his art studio while my key was being made. Sheila Sheep wrote to me and told me that I should hang my key around my neck which is a very good idea and I think I will do that, but it may get in my way when I am doing my garden tasks, I would hate for it to dangle in the mud or in the pond while I am kneeling down to talk to my frogs. I am so happy to be home again as I know all of my little creatures missed me and certainly my vegetables look as though they need a very good spray with my water hose, so I must be going now to freshen up all of the lovely leaves, flowers and fruit in my garden. I send you a huge hug and many rainbow coloured blessings to keep you safe and happy wherever you go. Love from Sherbetx

Sherbet has locked himself out of Clover Cottage
Oh dear, I am very sorry to have been so silent for so many days. You will never guess what happened to me. I am a very silly Sherbet Sheep indeed because I locked myself out of Clover Cottage and i could not find a way back in again. It was early in the morning and I had just thrown some breadcrumbs onto my grass for my blackbirds when a huge gust of wind slammed my kitchen door shut ! Oh dear, what a difficult situation I was in. I walked around the whole of the outside of Clover Cottage to see if I had left any windows open. Not one window was open. Oh dear what was I to do. I sat down on my flowerpot and had a really good think. I was not really worried as I know I have a big invisible ring of protection around me that keeps me safe. I have always had it, so I knew I would be alright as I always am. I have found that whatever happens to me in my life, even horrible, upsetting, sad things, I am always alright in the end so I knew a solution to my problem would come. I sat and I sat and I thought and I thought. What was I to do? Luckily it was a sunny day and early in the morning so I had a whole day of daylight to sit on my flowerpot and think. The minutes passed and I could think of no way to get back into my cottage. Suddenly, exactly one hour later I was very lucky indeed to see Doodle dog walking down Wiggleway Lane towards me. He must have heard my thoughts blowing through the wind and caught them in his ears. My saviour! He told me I must go home with him and stay as his guest in his art studio he would ask a very clever friend of his to make me a brand new key. So, my dear friends from all around the world and nearby, I am still with Doodle and I am still waiting for my new key. I am actually having a nice little holiday here and Doodle is very kindly looking after me very well and making me lots of cups of tea. He has made me a different kind of tea that does not grow in my own garden. It is fennel tea. I still prefer my very own mint tea but Doodle told me his fennel tea, made from lovely green, feathery looking leaves, is very good for me. I do miss all of my things that are locked inside Clover Cottage but I am sure I will be back soon. Love from a very silly Sherbet indeed who will be very careful not to lock himself out again!

Doodle has painted a lovely picture for Sherbet
Rainbow coloured blessings to you all. I truly hope you all have a wonderful, happy, peaceful, smiley day.
Doodle has painted me a lovely new picture of the cows at Greengate Farm.
Oh, he is so very talented and I do love to hang his paintings on my walls in Clover Cottage. I am going to hang it up in my kitchen and then when I invite friends to share a delicious meal we can all admire Doodle's painting.
That reminds me, it is quite a while since I have made a scrumptious dinner for my dear friends Doodle, Mango and Pearl. I will go into my garden today and see which of my vegetables are ripe and ready to pick, then I will invent a healthy rainbow coloured recipe for us all to enjoy. Oh what a happy thought! I cannot wait to share a delightful evening with my dear friends again. I am going to look at my vegetable garden right now. I do hope those naughty slugs have stayed away! Love from Sherbetx

Sherbet remembers his delightful evening with Doodle
Happy Sunday everyone. My goodness, how time has flown by since last Sunday! I must always remember not to waste time but I will save that thought until tomorrow because today I am just going to rest in my garden again. I had the most delightful time with Doodle yesterday evening. He is a very good cook and because he is so creative, he makes sure every dish is full of the most wonderful rainbow coloured foods, and it is a real feast for our eyes as well as our taste buds. In fact it looked so good I almost did not want to eat it, I wanted to frame it and put it on my wall! Oh silly me!

Sherbet is enjoying his garden today
Hello everyone. Rainbow coloured blessings to you all on this lovely sunny day.
I am just going to sit in my garden and enjoy my flowers today. I am going to close my eyes and smell the perfume that is coming from them and I am going to open my ears and listen for all the lovely natural sounds, the bees buzzing, the birds tweeting, the wind blowing through the leaves on my trees and the frogs croaking ( if I am lucky)
As you can see, I am wearing my new clothes that Kathy cat made for me, that is because after I have enjoyed my garden, I am going to Doodle's home. He has invited me to share a delicious healthy dinner with him this evening. I am so looking forward to it as I have not seen Doodle for a long time, he has been so busy in his art studio. I wish you all a very happy Saturday. Love from Sherbetx

Sherbet is just sitting here wondering
Hello everyone. Here I am just sitting here. Just sitting here wondering what I should do today.
I could weed my garden or I could go to the nearby village to buy more seeds or I could visit Doodle in his art studio or I could go to Mango's watering can and ask if he would like to join me for breakfast or I could make a delicious rainbow coloured cake or I could go for a walk along Wiggleway Lane or I could write some letters to my friends that live far far away or I could read my books with wise words in and learn something that would make me be a better Sherbet Sheep or I could do some yoga or I could count the frogs in my pond. Well, I could do one of those things or some of those things but I think I will just sit here where I am sitting and stay sitting here until I feel like not sitting here anymore . Love from Sherbetx

Pearl bakes a delicious carrot cake
Yummy, Pearl is coming to Clover Cottage this morning to make me a delicious carrot cake.
I have picked a basket full of fresh, juicy carrots from my garden and they are patiently waiting on my kitchen table for Pearl to arrive. Mango will come to help us, he loves to help when Pearl bakes cakes. While Pearl prepares the other ingredients, I will peel the carrots and Mango will grate them. I am a little worried about Mango's delicate little hands, in case they get caught in the grater but he really wants to do it so I will just watch him carefully and have a box of plasters nearby just in case. I just cannot wait to smell that scrumptious cake as Pearl takes it out of the oven, I will invite Doodle over too today. I hope he can take time away from his art studio to join us as it is so lovely to be able to share slices of warm delicious carrot cake with all of my friends. If we have any carrots left over, I will mix them with apples from my tree and make some really special carrot and apple juice. Oh, I am really looking forward to all of these wonderful treats today. I do wish you could all join us in the scrumptiousness that we have in store at Clover Cottage. Love from Sherbetx

Doodle and Sherbet share delicious pea soup
What a beautiful morning ! I am sure I had sweet dreams, even though I do not remember them - as I awoke with a big smile on my face. I know it had rained a lot in the night as I heard it pitter pattering down onto my roof, and I was just preparing myself to go and find any naughty slugs that were having breakfast on my tomato plants, when there was a knock on my kitchen door. It was an absolute delight to me to find my dear friend Doodle standing there. He does not often have time to visit me as he is always working in his art studio. He was carrying his usual string of peas, he says he loves the smell of freshly picked peas and I must say I agree with him, they have such a deliciously crunchy green pea kind of perfume which makes me want to make a big pot of pea soup. Oh what a good idea. I will invite Doodle to stay for lunch and we will share a scrumptious, healthy soup. Now, all we have to do is gather enough peas from my garden. We will sit on my kitchen doorstep in the morning sunshine and shell them together. It is such a pleasure to spend some time with my dear friend Doodle, preparing a lovely pea soup together.

Sherbet visits Doodle in his art studio
It was such a lovely breezy, warm morning that I decided I would have a pleasant, healthy walk to visit Doodle in his art studio. I packed a little picnic with some of Pearl's homemade bread and some freshly picked tomatoes from my garden, and poured some crunchy sunflower seeds and pumpkin seeds into a little bag. I was sure Doodle would be glad to share it with me when I arrived.
I certainly enjoyed my walk along Wiggleway Lane, taking notice of all the new fresh green leaves that are springing up in the trees and the bushes. Oh and how lovely it was to stop and look closely at the abundance of wild flowers in the hedgerows. It is such a delight to have the time to be close to nature. I picked up a tiny green grasshopper and he stayed on my shoulder all the way to Doodle's art studio. It was fun to have my new little friend with me as I do love all the little creatures.
When we reached Doodle, we found him as usual being very creative. He was painting one of his big pots in all the colours of the rainbow and I noticed he had signs to remind himself to feed his tadpoles and to collect some stones. Now, when I saw Doodle hard at work making beautiful things it reminded me very much of my 2 dear friends who have moved away from a house not far from the house of Marise Mouse, they are called Ada and Eli and I am thinking of them now as I know they are both very good at being creative and they paint lovely pictures.
I am very sure that even though they now live far far away they would love to come and feed tadpoles with Doodle and help him paint his pots. Oh how lovely it is to be around Doodle today and to see all the interesting things in his life. I am very blessed to have such a creative friend like Doodle. Love from Sherbetx

Sherbet enjoys working in his garden with his friends
I woke up to a lovely sunny morning with the birds singing sweetly in my ears.
I was still half asleep though when I suddenly remembered that I had asked Doodle, Pearl and Mango to come to help me with my garden tasks today. I had asked them to have breakfast with me this morning too and I knew they could be here any minute, so I jumped up quickly and rushed into my kitchen to start putting out things on my kitchen table. Just as I was reaching into my cupboard for my jar of Pearl's homemade blackberry jam, there was a knock on the door and in came my dear friends. Yummy! I smelled the delightful aroma of freshly baked bread as they walked in. Pearl was carrying in her basket a delicious wholemeal loaf that she had made to my very favourite recipe. It had sunflower seeds and sesame seeds in it. Oh how absolutely scrumptious, I just could not wait to eat it.
Doodle had brought some crunchy red and green apples that he had been given by the farmer at the other end of Wiggleway Lane and Mango brought me a little bunch of daisies to brighten up the kitchen table. How kind they all are. I put a spotted jug of freshly squeezed orange juice on the table and a pot of tea for Pearl, made with mint from my herb garden. After eating our absolutely delicious breakfast, we were ready to start work in the garden. Doodle, Mango and Pearl all jumped into my red wheelbarrow, I gave them their tools and I pushed them all to my vegetable garden where we spent a very happy morning weeding, planting new seeds, raking earth, collecting fallen leaves and gathering a whole basket of ripe vegetables. I do so love the simple pleasure of working in my garden and it makes it all so much more special to share it with my friends. I am very blessed to have such wonderful helpers, and this evening, to say thank you to them, I will cook them a lovely healthy meal full of my home grown rainbow coloured vegetables.

Sherbet is so grateful for his home grown lettuce
Oh how lovely it was to share a meal with my dear friends Doodle, Mango and Pearl yesterday evening. I picked my best salad leaves from my vegetable garden to make sure we had a delicious healthy meal. I am so grateful and happy that I have such a wonderful variety of lettuce in my garden, I have red lettuce, curly lettuce, dark green lettuce, light green lettuce, lettuce with long wiggly leaves, lettuce with short round leaves and lettuce with raggedy looking leaves. They are all so tasty, some have a peppery taste, they are Doodle's favourite but Pearl says she only likes them mixed in with the other leaves.
We were very lucky also to have some delicious big red ripe tomatoes straight from my garden vine and one juicy cucumber. I was sorry to have to take away some of the shelter from my caterpillars but I know they will understand. Before my friends arrived, I was so excited that I waited at my front door to wait for them and to welcome them to Clover Cottage. I am very blessed to have such wonderful friends.

Doodle's drawing lesson in Sherbet's garden
Oh what a wonderful day it is today. I woke up very early, eager to start the day and as I sat at my kitchen table eating my scrumptious breakfast, I felt very excited as I knew that at any moment Pearl, Doodle and Mango would knock on my door ready to share a very creative day with me. Last week Pearl had thought of a very good idea. She asked Doodle if he would teach us all to draw. Well you see, Doodle Dog is very talented indeed and he loves to share his rainbow coloured ideas with everyone he meets. At half past eight exactly my dear friends arrived at Clover Cottage and our amazing day was ready to begin.
First of all though, I needed a little help with a few garden tasks, so Mango, Doodle and Pearl jumped into my wheelbarrow clutching their garden tools, and I pushed them all, bumping them along, to my vegetable garden, where we weeded, dug and planted until there was just no more to do at all. I then pushed them all back to the front of Clover Cottage where they jumped out of the wheelbarrow and then the fun began !
Doodle had brought along lots of pencils, paint brushes and crayons and some sketch pads and we all sat down on my green, crunchy grass, which luckily felt lovely and dry. Doodle asked me to stand up and be his model, while Pearl and Mango watched the lesson carefully.
I felt a little embarrassed at first and my cheeks blushed a little, to an even deeper shade of pink than they were already. Everyone said how handsome I looked so I soon found my courage and stood proudly under the oak tree to have my picture drawn. All the little creatures in my garden gathered around. The hedgehogs had stopped drinking from their saucer of milk to join the group, the frogs had stopped croaking and hopped over to sit next to Mango, the butterflies fluttered around my head giving me more confidence and the caterpillars left the shelter of their cabbage leaves to watch. We were all settling down into our nice, comfy, grassy seats, all except me of course, as I was the honoured chosen model! All was quiet as we waited expectantly for Doodle to start drawing.
We all clapped in delight at the clever picture and even though we all knew we cannot draw as well as Doodle, it inspired us all to go home and draw, with the rainbow coloured crayons Doodle had given us.
Mango especially, was so eager to make a drawing of his plate of cheese that he had left on his window sill, that he rushed home to his red watering can at full speed and leaped in the top, disappeared inside and did not appear again until he had finished his drawing!
Oh what a simply delightful day we all had together. I am so happy to have taken part in Doodle's drawing lesson and I am truly grateful that I was able to save the little birds from danger. I have promised the mother blackbird, that tomorrow, I will climb up my wooden ladder and put the nest with her precious babies in, back among the oak tree branches where they belong, so that they can grow stronger in complete peace and happiness until they are ready to fly. I do so hope they stay and make their homes here at Clover Cottage where they will be most welcome to join all the other little creatures in my garden.
Love from Sherbet x
Oh, it is so very very exciting. Today I am going to appear on the sheep blog of my special sheep friends who live far far away. It is called My Favourite Sheep. My sheep friends from far far away live at Punkin's Patch. B. Willard is going to tell all his sheep friends about the delightful day I had today taking part in Doodle's drawing lesson. I do hope they like it. I felt very flattered to be asked and my cheeks turned even pinker !

Snow and apple pie
This morning I felt like going for a lovely walk along Wiggleway Lane. I asked Mango
and Doodle to go with me as the air was fresh and clean and I thought it
would do us all good to breathe in some lovely fresh air. Pearl was too
busy baking apple pies to come with us but as we are all looking
forward to tasting the scrumptious pies, we did not mind that she was
not there to enjoy the walk with us. It was a very quiet, cold day,
there were no birds singing in the trees and no bees buzzing and no
frogs croaking. We walked in silence just enjoying the peace. We were
just passing the farm which seemed deserted, as all of the animals were
resting in their cosy barns and stables, when it started to snow. We
were all so surprised to see how quickly the snow flakes were settling
on our heads. Poor, little, shivering Mango. I picked him up quickly
and tucked him into my wool and we all hurried back to Clover Cottage
where Doodle made us all mugs of delicious hot chocolate. We soon
warmed up and a little while later there was a knock on the door and
when I opened it, there stood Pearl holding two lovely apple pies. How lovely, we were now all together and spent a lovely, cosy morning enjoying each others company and eating warm apple pie.

Sherbet gets a lovely surprise when Dot the spotty cat brings him some flowers and a message from Kathy Cat
What a pleasant surprise I had this morning. Kathy Cat has sent one
of her friends over to give me a message and some flowers. Her friend is
called Dot, she is covered in beautiful pink spots. The message is that
Kathy Cat will be coming to my birthday party tomorrow. Even though she
lives far far away she will find her way here by riding on her friend
Kizzie the horse. She said she will also bring Milly Mouse who will
ride on Kizzie's head and keep her balance by holding onto Kizzie's
ears. That will be lovely, I do so look forward to seeing my friend
Kathy Cat again and maybe as she is coming so soon she can remind Doodle
of the names of the trees. I think it is so wonderful how all of my
friends are helping each other especially when some of them are so
little like Milly Mouse. It would be very difficult for her to come all
the way here on her own as her legs are so tiny it would take her such a
long time that she would miss the party.
I had a lovely bath this afternoon to make myself especially handsome for my party tomorrow. I used some lovely scented bubble bath given to me as a birthday present from Pearl, it was scented with flowers from my garden. How lovely it feels to have soft, clean, scented wool.

Sherbet gets a big letter from Doodle
Today, the postman brought me a big letter from Doodle and in it he had
put a lovely painting of some trees. He told me that when he went for a
nature walk with Kathy Cat, she taught him all of the names of all of
the trees in Wiggleway Lane. He was so inspired by the lovely trees she
showed him that he decided to paint them. I see that he has not put the
names of the trees underneath so I think he has already forgotten their
names. I think I should invite Kathy Cat to come and stay again so she
can take him on another nature walk and remind him of all of the names.
Sometimes Doodle does not listen properly as his head is always full of
lots of creative thoughts but we all forgive him as he does paint such
lovely pictures.

Doodle paints some lovely art for Sherbet
What a lovely surprise I had this morning. I had just finished my
breakfast when Doodle knocked on my door and when I opened it he was
standing there with a very colourful painting that he had painted for me.
He knows I like to have art on my walls in Clover Cottage. The painting
was of a scene from a country farm with so many little bits and pieces
in it for me to look at and enjoy. Doodle loves to paint, and paints
almost every day except when he is painting pots or stones or making
bird huts. He is always in his art studio creating something new. It
gives him joy and it especially makes him happy to give his lovely
creations to his friends. Pearl, Mango and I all have some lovely
paintings from Doodle in our homes.
