Peas, peas, peas.
I just think that peas in their pods are so beautiful and what a wonderful delicious smell they have.
One of the things I really love to do is to sit on my doorstep at Clover Cottage with a big basket of freshly picked peas and shell them. It does take me ages and ages to do but what a joy to see all of those beautifully fragrant, round peas sitting there, all together in my kitchen bowl.
I must tell you that I am now looking through all of my recipe books for a special pea recipe. I feel like making a delicious pea soup and I will invite Doodle, Pearl and Mango to share it with me this evening. If we are very lucky, Pearl might bring some of her scrumptious home made bread with her, the one with the sunflower seeds and sesame seeds in it.
Oh yummy, I cannot wait for the evening to begin. Love from Sherbetx

The rain has stopped in Sherbet's garden
Oh thank goodness, the rain has stopped and the birds are nice and dry. They are singing sweetly in the trees again.
My garden looks lovely and green. The rain has freshened everything up and the grass has a delicious, wet grassy smell. It smells almost good enough to eat, like fresh green peas.
That reminds me, I think I will go and make a delcious pea soup.

Doodle and Sherbet share delicious pea soup
What a beautiful morning ! I am sure I had sweet dreams, even though I do not remember them - as I awoke with a big smile on my face. I know it had rained a lot in the night as I heard it pitter pattering down onto my roof, and I was just preparing myself to go and find any naughty slugs that were having breakfast on my tomato plants, when there was a knock on my kitchen door. It was an absolute delight to me to find my dear friend Doodle standing there. He does not often have time to visit me as he is always working in his art studio. He was carrying his usual string of peas, he says he loves the smell of freshly picked peas and I must say I agree with him, they have such a deliciously crunchy green pea kind of perfume which makes me want to make a big pot of pea soup. Oh what a good idea. I will invite Doodle to stay for lunch and we will share a scrumptious, healthy soup. Now, all we have to do is gather enough peas from my garden. We will sit on my kitchen doorstep in the morning sunshine and shell them together. It is such a pleasure to spend some time with my dear friend Doodle, preparing a lovely pea soup together.

Sherbet makes scrumptious pea soup for his lunch
I woke up this morning and I really felt like making pea soup for my
lunch.Isn't it funny how things pop into our heads like that, I wonder
where that idea came from I must have been dreaming about it last night
in one of my dreams. I do not know if you are like me but I have lots of
different dreams every night and sometimes I remember them and
sometimes I don't. Anyway because I woke up thinking about pea soup I
asked Mango to help me to pick some fresh green peas from my garden.
Mango and I collected enough peas to make a lovely, tasty, healthy soup
and then as it was a nice sunny day we both sat down on my doorstep with
a big bowl and we shelled the peas. It was such fun and the smell of
the freshly picked peas was so delicious I could not wait until lunch
time, I must admit that Mango and I both ate some lovely raw peas as we
were shelling them but there were plenty left in the bowl to make soup
for us both. Yummy! I must tell you now that the soup was really so
wonderful and scrumptious that I am so glad my dream inspired me to make
it.
