Sherbet's one pink rose.

Dearest loyal friends,
I do not have any exciting news for you today.
But if you would like to,  you could share this moment with me while I water my favourite pink rose.
My one pink rose that has been with me here in my heart and my garden for a very long time .
Oh how peaceful it is here and how beautiful my flowers are .
At this very moment , all I can hear in my amazing garden here at Clover Cottage is the gentle breeze blowing through the new Spring leaves on my oak tree and a little splashing noise from the frogs jumping around on the waterlilies in my pond.
Peace and quiet , how lovely.

Sherbet gives thanks to Saint Francis

Hello again dear dear friends from nearby and far far away .
I must let you all know that I finally found my way out of the forest . I had climbed a very tall tree  to take a look inside a blackbird's nest and while I was there, even though I was a little bit entangled in the dense leaves and branches,  I was able to look way into the distance. Guess what I saw peeping out from behind a group of rolling hills?
YES, it was Clover Cottage !  Thank goodness I had finally seen which direction to walk in.
Anyway I was very grateful to be home and to see that all was well in my garden.
Today I  have come to visit this little statue of my favourite Saint in the whole wide world,  Saint Francis of Assisi.
. I came to give thanks to him for taking care of all the little creatures in my garden while I was away lost in the forest.
My hedgehogs, my frogs, my caterpillars, my snails and my birds are all healthy and happy and I am very grateful for that.

Sherbet has escaped to find some peace

Oh my dear friends from nearby and far far away!  I am so sorry that I have not written my story for a little while. I must tell you that  I have a very good reason. You see, I have escaped to the seaside to find some peace. You may wonder why I had to find some peace . Well, let me tell you that  I could not stay at Clover Cottage because the frogs in my pond have been croaking so loudly all night long that I have not been able to sleep very well. Every morning I had woken up with tired eyes because of my naughty, noisy frogs so I decided to come here to this beach as it is a very, very quiet place indeed and there is not a frog in sight. All I can see are crabs and all they do all day is run  into holes in the sand. You will be glad to know that I am catching up on my sleep and I  am collecting shells to add to my nature corner back at Clover Cottage. Love from your dear and loyal  friend, Sherbet Sheep with plenty of sleep ! x                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                     ;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;; .

Oh dear, Sherbet's frogs have a frozen pond

I know my ears are squashed all flat in my new scarf  and I know I am not looking as handsome as usual but I really don't mind because I am keeping lovely and warm and snug in  this freezing, snowy weather.  Pearl  always tells me that it is much better to have a kind heart than to worry about what I look like.  Pearl is very wise and she is always right,  so I am  not going to worry about looking  a bit silly with flat ears.
I must tell you that my pond has frozen over so I have taken my frogs into Clover Cottage until it thaws out.  They are a little bit slimy and they have some pond weed stuck on  their legs so I decided it is best if they stay in my bathroom until they clean up a bit.   At this very moment, they are jumping up and down in my shower like mad bouncing jelly beans, having a truly wonderful time.  I am so blessed to have such happy froggy friends filling my cottage with joy.

Sherbet is having a nice rest after cleaning Clover Cottage

I am sitting on my flowerpot today having a lovely rest because I have been a very busy Sherbet Sheep indeed.
I have been cleaning  Clover Cottage from top to bottom.  I have been dusting my wise words books and have been sorting out lots of bits of pieces in order to make more space in my cupboards.  I am sure my spiders will be much happier now that they have more room  to make their homes. I know I am supposed to wait until Spring before doing Spring cleaning but I just wanted to do it now simply because I feel like doing it,  that's all.   I have been feeling full of energy and have been singing all around the house.  This morning I heard the blackbirds in my oak tree joining in with my songs and the frogs in my pond croaking along with me too.  Even if they were a little out of tune it is such a joy to be in harmony with nature.
I am sure I will still be singing tomorrow,  so if you have any requests please let me know.

Rain, Rain, Rain

Rain, rain, rain.
Oh dear that means that the naughty slugs will come out of their hiding places and try to eat my spinach plants.
I do love it when it rains though, as it means I can sit peacefully in my cosy cottage  and read my wise words books. An added bonus is that I do not have to worry about watering my plants.
It makes me happy too, to see my frogs leaping about in joy  but I worry about the poor birds  I wonder where they go.
They must get very wet indeed and I am sure their nests cannot be very comfortable when they are all damp and cold.
If I could I would invite them all into my cottage until the rain passes but  as you know it is not easy to make birds stay still  long enough to ask them.
Maybe I will see a rainbow

Hooray Sherbet is back in Clover Cottage

Hooray!   Here I am back in very own dear, special, cosy Clover Cottage. Finally I now have a new key especially made for me by one of Doodle's very clever friends.  In fact he made me 2 keys so I now have a spare one and I now have to find a very secret place to hide it in my garden so that if I get locked out again ( which knowing me, I may just be silly enough to do) I will be able to get in quite easily.  Doodle was very kind to let me stay in his art studio while my key was being made. Sheila Sheep wrote to me and told me that I should hang my key around my neck which is a very good idea and I think I will do that, but it may get in my way when I am doing my garden tasks, I would hate for it to dangle in the mud or in the pond while I am kneeling down to talk to my frogs.  I am so happy to be home again as I know all of my little creatures missed me and certainly my vegetables look as though they need a very good spray with my water hose, so I must be going now to freshen up all of the lovely leaves, flowers and fruit  in my garden. I send you a huge hug and many rainbow coloured blessings to keep you safe and happy wherever you go. Love from Sherbetx

Sherbet is enjoying his garden today

Hello everyone. Rainbow coloured blessings to you all on this lovely sunny day.
I am just going to sit in my garden and enjoy my flowers today.   I am going to close my eyes and smell the perfume that is coming from them and I am going to open my ears and listen for all the lovely natural sounds, the bees buzzing, the birds tweeting, the wind blowing through the leaves on my trees and the frogs croaking ( if I am lucky)
As you can see, I am wearing my new clothes that Kathy cat made for me, that is because after I have enjoyed my garden, I am going to Doodle's home.   He has invited me to share a delicious healthy dinner with him this evening.  I am so looking forward to it as I have not seen Doodle for a long time, he has been so busy in his art studio.  I wish you all a very happy Saturday.  Love from Sherbetx

Sherbet is going to have a wonderful Sunday.

Happy Sunday to everyone, may your day be filled with sun - as it should be on a Sunday. The weather here at Clover Cottage is wonderful, one of those perfect days where it is warm but breezy at the same time. I am not hot and I am not cold I am just right, In fact I feel like the porridge in the story of the 3 bears.
I am just about to go for a lovely walk in the meadows around Wiggleway Lane. I do so love to be around all of the wild flowers and to sit in the long grass. I am going to take my picnic with me and just relax. I will sit in silence and listen for the buzzing bees and the tweeting birds. If I am lucky I will find some frogs too, to croak near to me. Oh what a pleasant day I will have. I wish all of you out there both near and far far away a wonderful, pleasant, bird tweeting, bee buzzing, frog croaking ( if you are lucky)  relaxing day just like mine . Love from Sherbetx

Sherbet is just sitting here wondering

Hello everyone. Here I am just sitting here.  Just sitting here wondering what I should do today.
I could weed my garden or I could go to the nearby village to buy more seeds or I could visit Doodle in his art studio or I could go to Mango's watering can and ask if he would like to join me for breakfast or I could make a delicious rainbow coloured cake or I could go for a walk along Wiggleway Lane or I could write some letters to my friends that live far far away or I could read my books with wise words in and learn something that would make me be a better Sherbet Sheep or I could do some yoga or I could count the frogs in my pond.  Well, I could do one of those things or some of those things but I think I will just sit here where I am sitting and stay sitting here until I feel like not sitting here anymore . Sherbet feels protected by angels

I had a really good night's sleep last night.
I felt as though I was floating on clouds all night long and when I woke up I realised that the reason I slept so peacefully was because of my angel tickles yesterday. Being tickled by angels has made me feel all protected and safe, I feel all warm and snuggly inside. It feels truly wonderful.
I did wake up quite early this morning,  I woke to the delightful sound of the birds singing in my trees, a sound I love.  As I felt so blessed and protected myself,  I wanted to go into my garden and check on all of the little creatures to make sure they were all safe and happy.
I checked on the frogs, I checked on the blackbirds, I checked on the caterpillars in my lettuce, I checked on my hedgehogs and when I saw that all was well and peaceful, I headed back to my kitchen to have my breakfast. Just as I was reaching my door, I saw a fallen leaf on the grass and on it was a tiny ladybird. I picked up the leaf and looked closely at the little insect. How pretty she was, I welcomed her to my garden and told her she could stay as long as she liked. I wondered if she was all alone in the world or if she had a family. I told her she would be safe in my garden and that  I would protect her just as the angels were protecting me.

Oh, It's snowing again!

It has been such an amazing weekend and I really have to tell you that I am feeling a little bit tired after so much excitement. Today I just want to sit under my apple tree and relax. I have lots of letters to write to all of my friends from far far away to thank them all for coming to my party.

Oh dear, it has just started to snow very heavily so I cannot sit under my apple tree. I will sit in my cosy cottage instead and keep warm. I do hope the postman will be able to get through the snow to pick up my letters from the post box at the end of Wiggleway Lane. It looks like the snow is settling and may become quite deep. I would hate for his red postman's van  to get stuck in the snow.  I will have to check that the hedgehogs' milk does not freeze and I do hope the water does not freeze in the pond or the frogs will not know where to go. I do hope all the little creatures in my garden can stay warm enough in their various little nooks.  I would invite them all into my cottage during these cold days but I am afraid to tell you that lots of them are so shy that they hide up and I just cannot find them. I do so worry about all the little creatures when the snow falls.

Sherbet's friends spend a day with him working in the garden

Today I woke up with lots of energy. I just leapt out of bed really early ready to work in my garden. The sun was shining down on Clover Cottage which put a big smile on my face. There was no snow, no rain, no wind, no fog, no mist, no hail, no grey sky, and it was not too cold, so what more could I ask for? I saw a little bit of dew sparkling on my grass and that was all. The birds were chirping happily in my oak tree, the worms were hiding in the soil trying to avoid being eaten for breakfast by the birds, the dragonflies were playing with the frogs in my pond and the hedgehogs were drinking their morning saucer of milk.  All was peaceful and perfect in my garden this morning. Doodle, Pearl and Mango arrived mid morning to help me with my tasks. I  put them all in my wheelbarrow, with my new garden tools and pushed them to my vegetable garden. They love riding in my wheelbarrow. They all felt happy and smiley too and were all ready to put in a hard days work. There were so many tasks to do. Doodle made some wigwam shapes out of bamboo sticks to help support the peas and beans.  Pearl dug the earth and raked it.  Mango picked out all the stones and put them in a pile and picked some vegetables for our evening meal and I cut the grass and did some weeding.

A visit to Doodle's art studio

Today Pearl, Mango and I visited Doodle in his art studio. It was so exciting. He has so many interesting things to see there. He has tadpoles in a jar, painted stones, a book about frogs and a book about painting. The thing we loved best of all though was that he showed us how to paint a big pot. He said we should use our imagination and that there were no rules and we could paint anything we liked on it. Doodle painted big insects on his pot, I painted big spots on my pot, Pearl painted flowers on her pot and  Mango painted leaves on his pot. It was so much fun and we were all very proud of our lovely colourful pots . Doodle said we should all keep them in my garden and grow flowers in them.  We all thought that was a great idea. I am so proud to have a wonderful, creative friend like Doodle.

Sherbet is so tired after working in his garden

Oh I am so tired. I spent all morning weeding and planting new seeds in my garden. But how lovely to spend time sitting on my grass with my friends this afternoon. Pearl made daisy chains, Doodle spent his time drawing the frogs on the pond and Mango went to sleep under the oak tree. I just sat happily watching the birds in the sky and feeling the sun on my face, it reminded me of being on holiday again with my old friend Sheila Sheep. I miss her and wish she could be here now to enjoy this time with us. I am very grateful to have such good friends in my life .
