Oh
dear, I was trying to climb one of my trees to get a better look at
the new little buds that were growing and I got stuck! My wool became
well and truly tangled in the branches, silly me, what a careless thing
to do! I had to call for help as I just could not find a way to get out of the
tree. Luckily, just at that moment, Mango was having his plate of
cheese and bread in his watering can and he heard me calling. As Mango
is so little he could not do much to help me himself but instead he ran
to fetch Doodle from his art studio. It only took Doodle ten minutes
to arrive. What a wonderful sight to see him walking over my grass
carrying my wooden ladder over his shoulder. He climbed the ladder and
untangled my wool from the branches of the tree and I was then able to
climb down the ladder by myself. I was so grateful to be rescued. Doodle
said that he was very glad he was not away from his studio today or I
may have had to sleep in the tree all night long! You see, the farmer
from the other end of Wiggleway Lane was away at the market and Pearl
was also away buying new jars for her jam making so there was no-one
else here at all. Oh dear, what a pickle I would have been in! I am so
grateful that my wonderful friend Doodle was close by in my time of
need .
