Merry Christmas from Sherbet Sheep

Dearest, loyal friends from nearby and far far away.
 I am here to wish you a very merry Christmas and the best new year you could ever imagine having.
 I know the years are travelling by very fast indeed and  I only hope I can run fast enough to keep up, well, no that is a very silly thing to say because the years have gone by already and unless I am running backwards how can I ever catch up, now then looking at that sentence again  I am thinking to myself that my brain must be very tired indeed as it  does not make much sense to me at all . I must try to have a good night's sleep and maybe my brain will work properly in the morning.  Also if I go to bed early it gives Father Christmas more time to climb down my chimney and bring me presents .
 Luckily I have not had to light my fire lately so he will be quite safe . I would hate to be the one to melt santa's boots. Oh dear , I am very ,very tired , I have to go to bed now.

Hello from Sherbet

Oh dear, dear precious friends from nearby and far far away, do please forgive me for staying away so long.
 I have just been here, there and everywhere and I have not been able to spend time on my stories.
 I just had to say hello to you all to let you know that I am still very much alive ( you may see that I am carrying my lucky 4 leaf clover and that keeps me safe - and fortunate too !) I know Christmas is coming near but I am a little bit too busy to even think about it at the moment . Luckily I have already wrapped up some gifts for Pearl, Doodle and Mango so I do not have to worry about that. I did find the time to put up a little Christmas tree in Clover Cottage and decorate it. It is twinkling at me right this minute. It is a very friendly tree.

MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM SHERBET SHEEP

Dear friends from nearby and far far away , I am here on Christmas Eve thinking warm thoughts about all the good times I have spent with you during this last year of 2014 and all the years before that and the years before that . Oh how I miss you all ! I am so far far away from you all at this festive time . I am here, sitting in Clover Cottage and you are there wherever you are in the places that you are .
 Just remember though that you are all living inside my heart , my Sherbet Sheep heart and my Sherbet Sheep soul are filled up with love for you .
 I wish all of my dear friends both old and new , a very lovely , warm and cosy Christmas .

Happy Christmas to all of my friends

 Hooray!  It is Christmas day. I want to wish all of my dear,  wonderful friends from nearby and far far away, a very happy day today .
Pearl has invited me , Doodle and Mango to her house for a delicious Christmas dinner.   She has made a very beautiful Christmas tree just for us.  How kind she is.  I must tell you also that Pearl is making the most scrumptious gingerbread house cakes. She has not quite finished them so she will not yet let me show you a picture  but  I will show you tomorrow, that is if I don't eat them all up first.    Love from Sherbetx

Oh! It is nearly Christmas

Oh, I almost forgot.  It is nearly Christmas day.
 I have been so busy here at Clover cottage and I live such a quiet life here with my garden and my little creatures that I did not realise what day it was.
  I truly wish my friends from nearby and far far away the most wonderful  rainbow coloured day tomorrow,  the 25th December.   I know that some of my friends live in such far away places that they may not celebrate that day as we do here in Wiggleway Lane but  I still wish them a day filled with love, happiness, peace and rainbows.

Sherbet is going home today

Here I am,  a little bit hidden away from the big wide world.  I am ready to go home to Clover Cottage now.  I will be very sorry to leave my dear friend  Sheila  sheep,  we have had such fun and have laughed a lot and talked a lot, but now I must go back to Pearl, Doodle and Mango.  It is nearly Christmas and they will be expecting  me to be back home to take care of all the little creatures in my garden.   I know that Pearl will be making  a delicious Christmas pudding to her grandmother's recipe and Doodle will have put up a beautiful Christmas tree in my garden.  Little  Mango will be having an adventure getting lost in the pine needles on the tree, I am sure of that.  I  have  some gifts for my dear friends in my suitcase  and now I must say goodbye to the seaside and to Sheila sheep. I will come again soon when it is a brand new year,  the year 2013.

Sherbet gets a late Christmas present

What a lovely surprise I had this morning. There was a knock on the door and there stood the postman who delivers letters and parcels in Wiggleway Lane. I was really very happy to see him as we had such a lot of snow over Christmas that he had not managed to get to my cottage in his red postman's van.  I had been worried that his van had been stuck in the snow. He handed me a package and inside, cleverly wrapped inside a pretty Christmas stocking were 2 lovely little books. How beautiful they were. One was from my dear old friend Sheila Sheep and one was from a new friend of mine called Mark Mole who I met when I went to stay with Sheila Sheep at the seaside. It was so very kind of them both to think of me at Christmas time. It makes me feel all warm and huggly to know I have such good friends who really care about me. I wish everyone in the whole world could have wonderful friends like I have.

Doodle helps Sherbet with his pumpkins

Well, I really do think Christmas is finally over until next year, we have all had a lovely time being together with our friends and for some of us seeing family and friends that we do not often see. Even I was very lucky to have Reginald Rabbit come to visit me in my dream, even though he could not be here in person. Today the snow has thawed and I have collected all of my pumpkins together. They were actually very heavy so Doodle came to help me. Mango wanted to help as he always does as he is such a kind little  mouse but I am afraid he was too small and all he could do was ride on top of some of the pumpkins as we rolled them to a corner of my garden. They are beautiful, a lovely orange colour and I know they will be very tasty. I am going to ask Pearl to give me one of her best pumpkin soup recipes so that I can make a lovely, big, healthy pumpkin soup for us all to warm us up in this cold weather.

Sherbet has a surprise when he looks out of his kitchen window!!

I am not sure if you will believe me but this morning I looked out of my kitchen window and guess what I saw in my garden. I saw a big group of penguins dressed in scarves to keep them warm in the cold weather. I was not really sure they were real as many magical things can happen around Christmas time. I went outside and sure enough they were real! I asked them what they were doing in my garden. One of them, the one with the stripey bobble hat,  told me they were on a day out from a sealife park quite a long way away from here. They had heard about the famous Sherbet Sheep and his amazing garden and thought it would be a pleasant place to come and visit. So of course when I heard that I said  "WELCOME TO MY GARDEN"!  Just as I said that it started to snow so I asked them to come into my cosy kitchen where I made them all big steaming mugs of hot chocolate. Afterwards, when the snow had settled down I took them  all to show them my Winter garden. One of the penguins had lost his hat. I told him he could borrow one of mine to go home with. You can see him in the picture,  he is the one with the purple scarf. How lovely to have new friends to share a mug of cocoa with.

Christmas is coming, the geese are getting fat !

This one is for my old friend Reg.  It is a Christmas nursery rhyme and also a Christmas carol that he taught to my dear friends Pearl and Doodle last December. It is from a long time ago when they had different money in England.

Christmas is coming the geese are getting fat.
Please put a penny in the old man's hat.

Today, Mango helped me to collect lots of shiny green holly from the holly trees in my garden. We  had to be very careful not to scratch ourselves as the holly is very prickly. I will decorate my cottage with it. It has the most beautiful red berries too. Pearl, Doodle and Mango are coming here for Christmas day. I am still wondering what to give them as Christmas presents .
