Sherbet had a lovely evening at the Harvest supper

Oh what a lovely evening I had last night.
 I went to the Harvest supper and made  lots of new friends. How delightful it was . I  loved listening to everyone chatting away happily and laughing and joking. It made such a nice change for me as I am sure you know that I live alone at Clover Cottage. I do love being alone and spending my days in peace,  but I am sure it does me good to spend time in company like I did last night. The food was so delicious and I especially enjoyed the apple crumble made with apples from a very special, old  local apple tree.  Oh dear I am feeling very tired, so I must have a little nap now . What an amazing birthday party!

What an absolutely wonderfully amazing birthday party I had yesterday. Thank you all so much for sharing it with me. Clover Cottage looked so beautiful, full of multicoloured balloons and vases of flowers that Mango so kindly gathered from my garden. I had such a lovely surprise, all of my closest relatives came from their fields near and far. They were in such a happy mood and had such fun dancing the conga all around my garden. We all laughed and clapped with joy.

Then it was the turn of all the pigs from the farm at the end of Wiggleway Lane. They all danced in a long long conga line too. Oh what fun we all had watching them. It was so exciting that we all joined in, and our conga line spilled over into Wiggleway Lane. I hope we didn't disturb my neighbour the farmer. Oh how we all enjoyed ourselves. We had rainbow coloured cupcakes and we played all our favourite party games. I knew a surprise was coming to me, and Pearl told me to close my eyes. Everyone gathered around and became very, very quiet. Even the birds in the trees had closed their beaks. Even the frogs in the pond had stopped croaking. Even the caterpillars had stopped munching the lettuce. Even the hedgehogs had stopped rustling in the leaves. There was perfect silence. All of a sudden everyone started to sing:

I opened my eyes, and, oh my goodness, there stood two beautiful fairies holding a stupendous birthday cake. I could not believe my eyes, the cake was so huge and full of all the colours of the rainbow. Pearl cut the cake and Doodle and Mango handed everyone a scrumptious piece each. It was such a lovely cake, I think it was called a fairy cake. How so very kind of my best friends to do this for me. I am so very blessed and I am so very grateful to have such wonderful friends, both old and new and how lovely to see all my relatives again. My old friends Reginald Rabbit, Kathy Cat, Milly Mouse, Kizzie the horse, Sheila Sheep and Mark Mole stayed the night cosily in my cottage as they came from far far away. Thank you all for coming to my party. It was so wonderful.  You know you are always most welcome. Love Sherbet x

Sherbet has a good idea to help the planet

Today I want all of my friends to think of really good ways to help all the animals in the world that may not be living happy lives. I heard that our planet is in trouble and we must all try to save it but our planet earth  is so very big and we are all so very small like little ants on a huge globe that it is difficult to help a huge planet just on our own. Maybe if we all think really good, kind thoughts together we can help all the animals and trees and plants and everything in nature to feel happy.  What a good idea. Let us all do it together.

Doodle helps Sherbet with his pumpkins

Well, I really do think Christmas is finally over until next year, we have all had a lovely time being together with our friends and for some of us seeing family and friends that we do not often see. Even I was very lucky to have Reginald Rabbit come to visit me in my dream, even though he could not be here in person. Today the snow has thawed and I have collected all of my pumpkins together. They were actually very heavy so Doodle came to help me. Mango wanted to help as he always does as he is such a kind little  mouse but I am afraid he was too small and all he could do was ride on top of some of the pumpkins as we rolled them to a corner of my garden. They are beautiful, a lovely orange colour and I know they will be very tasty. I am going to ask Pearl to give me one of her best pumpkin soup recipes so that I can make a lovely, big, healthy pumpkin soup for us all to warm us up in this cold weather.

Fresh juice full of vitamins to keep us healthy

Today I still have the yummy memory of the tasty pie Pearl made us. I have given her lots more fresh fruit from my garden, pears from my pear tree and more apples from my apple tree and tomorrow she has invited us all to breakfast again and we will drink fresh juice full of vitamins to keep us healthy. Pearl is very wise and knows how to make very delicious, healthy meals from the fruit and vegetables in my garden. I am very lucky to have a friend like Pearl.

Breakfast was just like a dream

Oh the breakfast was just like a dream. We all appreciated Pearl's jam . She told us that she also has some preserved blackberries  that she picked from Sherbet's fence a few months ago. I also  have some ripe apples on my tree and Mango will help me to pick them.

We will take the basket of apples to Pearl as she has offered to make us a very tasty blackberry and apple pie . We are all looking forward to sharing that too. It's such fun to share food with friends!!
