Sherbet realises that caterpillars turn into butterflies!

Happy rainbow coloured Sunday to all of my dear, dear friends from nearby and far far away.
I must tell you that when I took  a walk around my garden early this morning, I noticed  that so many salad leaves in my vegetable garden had been eaten up by the naughty caterpillars that have decided to live there.  I  must say I stood for a few moments and wondered how they got there and then I remembered something very important indeed !    Guess what ?  Several weeks ago I had watched very closely as some fluttering white butterflies did something strange on my salad leaves.  They were laying lots of tiny, yellow, stripey looking, pollen looking things on the edges of the salad leaves!
I now realise that they must have been little caterpillar eggs, hundreds of them !  I then remembered that Pearl had told me that caterpillars turn into butterflies. How wonderful nature is.  Imagine a funny, little, wiggly caterpillar starting life as a funny, little, wiggly caterpillar then turning into a beautiful, delicate, fluttering butterfly . What an amazingly, amazing thing to happen!  Love from Sherbetx

Sherbet is resting after his morning walk

Ah, how peaceful it is here. I am just having a little rest after my early morning walk.  You may be wondering where my boots are, well I have taken them off and they are waiting for me under a nearby oak tree.
Oh how beautiful Wiggleway Lane is these days.  The hedgerows are full of wild flowers, the butterflies are fluttering happily in and out of the long grass, the birds are chirping in the trees, the bees are buzzing and the spiders are spinning fine, new webs.  Oh how blessed I am to be sitting here on this rock surrounded by the simple pleasures of nature.

Sherbet is choosing new wallpaper

Pearl and Doodle have advised me that I should put some new wallpaper in my bedroom as Spring is coming and it would freshen  things up a bit. Doodle brought round a piece of wallpaper for me to try on the wall. It is very pretty,  full of butterflies and plant pots, just like my garden but I think I need something a bit brighter as I do love bright colours. I love greens like my grass and purples like my aubergines and I love reds like my tomatoes, I love yellow like my sunflowers, I love pink like the colour of my ear tops when they have had too much sun, I love blue like the sky, In fact I love all the colours of the rainbow so I think I will ask Doodle to choose another kind of wallpaper for me and I will see if it suits me better.
