Oh what a busy Sherbet sheep I am , I must tell you all that when you do not see me here for a while it means that I am very, very busy and do not even have time to think of writing my stories. I have missed you all though, my dear friends from nearby and far far away. As you can see I am here now sitting in my garden at Clover Cottage. It has been raining here very heavily which I am happy about as my garden has sprouted lots of new leaves and my plants and herbs have revived in a most miraculous way. I have been eating lots of herbs lately. I love to pick huge bunches of them to put in my omelette every morning. Oh what fun it is to go out into my garden in the early morning sunshine and come back into my cosy kitchen with a huge bunch of mixed herbs, I have Rosemary. Tarragon, 2 types of Thyme , 3 types of Basil, a minty thing that is very minty but not just normal mint , Rucola and Marjoram. I chop them all up together with some spring onions for my omelette which by the way turns a delightful shade of green when loaded down with all of those herbs.
I was a little bit worried that they may taste bitter in my omelette but they did not , they just taste herby !
Herbs are very good for me and I want to plant more and more and more again. I want them to grow into great big bushes so that I never run out of them.

Sherbet has an invasion of hairy caterpillars
I slept all morning yesterday, that is why you did not hear from me. I am still feeling worn out since my amazing Jubilee party. However, I am back at work in my garden as there is always so much to do. I must tell you that I have had an invasion of funny little hairy caterpillars and they are really being so naughty, enjoying themselves enormously, eating up all the leaves on my salad plants.
Oh dear, I just do not know what to do, they are getting everywhere, even walking round and round the edges of my terracotta pots, going round and round and round and round until they are so dizzy that they fall off, well at least they don't eat the lovely basil and parsley that I am growing in those pots. I will just wait until tomorrow and if they are still there, I will have to invent a way to make them all leave my garden. Does anyone know something that caterpillars love to eat apart from the things in my garden, maybe I could put a saucer on the grass of something that they find more delicious than my lettuce. I wonder if they would like Pearl's blackberry preserve, I could try and put some down in a trail leading to my garden gate, maybe they will follow it and go away out to Wiggleway Lane.
I will wait until tomorrow then I will decide what to do. Love from Sherbetx

Sherbet wonders at the miracles in his garden
Have you ever wondered how the tiniest caterpillar in the world, can know that there are some tasty basil leaves growing way above his head in a very tall terra cotta pot? Somehow his little brain ( or his instincts or his sense of smell) knows that he must climb up the steep edges of a pot and there he will find newly growing leaves to nibble on. Well, that is what happened to me this morning, when I found a tiny caterpillar walking around the top of my tall pot of new basil. I stood there and wondered. I wondered at the miracle of the little caterpillar and his world, I wondered how he knew the basil was there, I wondered at his intelligence and instincts that tell him to climb the pot. I think I will just sit down in my garden and focus on all the amazing, microscopic events that are happening all around me every day in my grass and around my plants. I am forever grateful for all the blessings surrounding me. Isn't life wonderful? Isn't life just truly magnificent? Love from Sherbetx

Sherbet's herb garden
A cheery hello to everyone out there. It is a lovely morning here
in my amazing garden. Doodle, Mango and Pearl all stayed at my
cottage last night after eating our lovely, healthy vegetable dinner. We
are all feeling very tired after all of our hard work yesterday so we
are having a quiet, restful day. Today, Mango and I picked some
herbs from my herb garden. We all like to put fresh herbs in our
cooking and our salads and we also make lovely refreshing hot tea with
them too. We picked a nice basketful of herbs so there is enough to share. I will divide them up into separate paper bags for Mango, Pearl and Doodle to take home with them. The herbs are growing very well in my garden, they are really growing
too well as in some places they are taking over! The Mint is the
naughtiest as it has escaped its' herb garden borders and has started
to spread itself all around the cabbage. The Rosemary has grown into a
huge fragrant bush and everytime I pass it, I breathe in it's unique
perfume and it fills me with joy. We picked a lovely selection of
herbs to use in our recipes, Rosemary, Basil, Thyme, Mint, Sage and
Parsley. Can you recognise any of them in my picture?
