Sherbet is in a tree

Ahhhhh,
I was just sitting at my kitchen table in Clover Cottage eating my breakfast porridge when I realised I would much rather be sitting in my garden feeling the soft breeze caressing my woolly coat.  The next thing I realised was that I am as free as my blackbirds and there is nothing to stop me going outside right now to sit in a tree.
SO,  hello dear friends from nearby and far far away from Sherbet Sheep sitting in a tree. I wish you were all here with me. I miss you all.
 Love Sherbetx

Pearl brings Sherbet warm crusty homemade bread.

Oh what a lovely sunny morning we have today!
I woke up bright and early and I was just enjoying a delicious breakfast of porridge with some delectable strawberries on top, when there was a knock on my kitchen door and there stood Pearl with her basket filled with freshly baked bread rolls.  Oh what Scrumptious yummyness!!  What a wonderful aroma to greet me first thing in the morning.
She came in, sat at my kitchen table and we shared the delicious, crusty bread.  I must admit I already had a bit of a full tummy with my porridge but I just could not resist that warm bread!  How blessed I am to have Pearl bringing me delicious warm bread and how blessed I am to have healthy thriving strawberry plants in my garden that give me strawberries to put on my porridge.  What an absolute delight to see those little red berries peeping out from under their leaves.  Isn't it wonderful how we can grow scrumptious things in our gardens.  Oh what joy!  Love and rainbow coloured blessings to you all.  Sherbetx

Sherbet is going to have a wonderful Sunday.

Happy Sunday to everyone, may your day be filled with sun - as it should be on a Sunday. The weather here at Clover Cottage is wonderful, one of those perfect days where it is warm but breezy at the same time. I am not hot and I am not cold I am just right, In fact I feel like the porridge in the story of the 3 bears.
I am just about to go for a lovely walk in the meadows around Wiggleway Lane. I do so love to be around all of the wild flowers and to sit in the long grass. I am going to take my picnic with me and just relax. I will sit in silence and listen for the buzzing bees and the tweeting birds. If I am lucky I will find some frogs too, to croak near to me. Oh what a pleasant day I will have. I wish all of you out there both near and far far away a wonderful, pleasant, bird tweeting, bee buzzing, frog croaking ( if you are lucky)  relaxing day just like mine . Love from Sherbetx

Sherbet sheds a little tear as he says goodbye to Reginald Rabbit

This morning I was very sad as I had to say goodbye to my very precious friend Reginald Rabbit.
We shared a very tasty breakfast together of freshly squeezed grapefruit juice, porridge with blueberries and crunchy toast spread with Pearl's special homemade marmalade.  Reginald enjoyed his breakfast very much.  For his very long journey, I gave him a packed lunch including some juicy red apples from my tree and some sandwiches made with Doodle's delicious homemade granary bread.  Reginald walked around my garden one more time saying goodbye to all the little creatures that he is always so fond of, and we walked down the path together to my garden gate.  We gave each other huge squeezy hugs and Reginald promised to visit again as soon as he could.
I waved goodbye to him and watched him go all the way until he disappeared around the bend in Wiggleway Lane. I did shed a little tear but then I thought the best way to be happy again is to go and water my lovely Spring flowers and my one pink rose so that is exactly what I did and it really did make me feel better.  Reginald Rabbit is always in my heart and I look forward to the joyful day when we will see each other again.

Lost strangers in Wiggleway Lane

I woke up to the usual quiet and peaceful morning here at Clover Cottage. All I could hear were the birds singing their dawn chorus in my oak tree and my fruit trees. I sat at my breakfast table enjoying my delicious breakfast of porridge followed by toast, butter and the scrumptious strawberry jam that Pearl made for me. All was calm, as it always is so I was very surprised to hear the sound of what sounded like cars and motor bikes outside in Wiggleway Lane! This, I thought, could not be true as Wiggleway Lane is only a small lane and Clover Cottage is right at the end so only my friends or the animals from The farm ever come this way. I opened my front door and to my surprise I did see traffic. There was a blue van and also a motor scooter. They had stopped by my garden gate and coming towards me were some dogs and cats that I had never met before.

I said welcome to Clover Cottage and introduced myself. They told me that they were lost and asked me to show them the way to the farm at the end of Wiggleway Lane. They had come from a village far far away and were visiting their relatives at the farm for the first time. I offered them all a lovely mug of hot chocolate in my kitchen and then gave them directions to the farm which they must have already passed but as there is no name on the farm it was easy to miss. How lovely to meet new friends from far far away. I was so glad that I could help them, make them something to drink and show them the way to their destination.
