I feel so proud of my lovely vegetable garden. It is a true miracle that I can plant the tiniest little seeds in the ground and then not too long afterwards, some wonderful unseen creative magic makes whole rows of lettuce and carrots pop up out of the earth in my garden. What a wonderful blessing to have all of this rainbow coloured deliciousness that keeps me healthy and keeps my wool shiny.
I have just remembered a lovely saying that Pearl sent to me, it was written on a postcard. It reminds me of my vegetable garden . It goes something like this:
Sow seeds in the garden of your brother and you will see them bloom in yours.
Pearl told me that it means that if we do good deeds to another we will see good things come back to us. Oh how lovely, how wonderful. The whole world would be so happy if everyone sowed seeds in everyone else's gardens. It would be a world full of big rainbow coloured circles of happiness going round and round and round and round for ever and ever. Oh my goodness that makes me feel dizzy. Love and good deeds indeed. from Sherbetx

How delightful ! Mango is well again.
Oh what a delight ! I went into my garden bright and early this morning to water my plants, and there peeping out of his watering can was Mango! He was well ! What a wonderful surprise to see that his little wrist was all mended and that Marise mouse had taken his bandage off. Mango climbed out of his home, jumped up on my shoulder and gave my ears a big hug. He was so happy to be well again. He told me that Marise mouse had looked after his little wrist very well. She had rubbed a special strong smelling ointment into it and it made it feel much better. Marise and Mango had enjoyed a delicious breakfast together of very smelly cheese and bread ( I must say I do not like smelly cheese myself but I know Mango just loves it and I hope Marise does as Mango did not have any other kind ! ) Marise had left early to get back to her own house as she had to water her spinach. Talking about spinach, I am still waiting for my newly planted spinach seeds to grow into little seedlings. Oh what a miracle it will be to see them popping out of the soil. I just cannot wait. I wish you all a very blessed day full of rainbow coloured adventures. Love from Sherbetx

Sherbet's miracle pink rose
I heard a huge torrent of rain falling down in the night and I woke up worried about my one pink rose. I rushed outside even before I had eaten my breakfast and to my relief, my dear, pink rose was still there standing upright with all of it's petals. It must be a true miracle rose as when I looked at some of my new little salad seedlings they were flattened down. I do hope they pop right up again. I can see the sun coming out now so they should be OK. The only bad news of the day was that I saw 2 slugs eating my tomato plant, the rain must have brought them out of their hiding places. I do love all the little creatures in my garden and I want them to be happy but I just had to lift off those 2 slugs ( wearing my gardening gloves of course, and I don't mean the slugs were wearing my gloves I was ! ) They were oh so slimy and slippery and gooey but I managed to pull them off of the tomato leaves and I put them in the field next door so they could find a new home. Now my vegetables are safe again. Thank goodness! Love from Sherbetx

Sherbet dreams of rhubarb pie
Last night I had a delectable dream. It was so wonderful because I was dreaming all night long about eating Pearl's home made rhubarb pie. Of course, in real life I know she hasn't made it yet because I am still waiting for the rhubarb plant in my garden to grow big enough and tall enough and ripe enough and ready enough to pick. As I woke up with my head full of rhubarb pie, I jumped out of bed and rushed straight out of my kitchen door to go and check on my rhubarb plant. I had hoped that some kind of miracle might have happened and that I would find a lusciously huge plant, like some kind of Jack and the beanstalk story, but no, it still was not ready to pick. Oh dear, no pie for me just yet, I will just have to be patient and let nature do it's work. Love from Sherbetx
