Bluebells, bluebells, bluebells

Bluebells, bluebells bluebells.  Oh how wonderful to be sitting here in my bluebells.
As you can see,  I am wearing  a special hat  to match my bluebells.   My dear friend Kathy cat made it for me .
She knows how I like to blend in with my flowers .  I think if a seagull flies over me ,  it would not even see me as I am so well hidden.   I am just going to sit here for a little while longer .  I am quite happy here ,  sniffing these beautiful bluebells.
I send you all my very best rainbow coloured wishes, in fact today and today only I will send you some bluebell coloured wishes too !

Sherbet has had some very sad news about Kizzy horse

Oh I am so sad, so very sad.
My dear friend Kathy Cat has written to me  with some very bad news indeed.
I must tell you all that my very favourite horse in the whole world, Kizzy horse has gone to new green pastures in the sky.  Kathy Cat told me that Kizzy broke her leg and could not stay on this planet earth any longer. She was very old and  not very strong but I know that where she is now she is extremely happy and has brand new legs to run around with all day long. I will miss her very much, I have such fond memories of riding her through her favourite forest. She loved having adventures with her best friend  Kathy Cat  too and she will be missed very much .

Kathy cat has come to visit Sherbet

What a happy day it is for me today.
Kathy cat has come to visit me at Clover Cottage. How lovely!  I have not seen her for so long and I have been worried about her because her best friend Kizzy horse is getting a little bit old and has been having trouble with her health. I am very pleased to tell you that Kizzy is doing much better and is enjoying her walks in the woods again.
Kathy cat brought me some delicious, pink, home made fruit juice made with 3 different fruits and it was truly delicious. She told me that if I drink a big glass of it for my breakfast then I will feel full of energy all day long. So tomorrow morning I will drink my juice and then go out into my garden with my new energy and sweep up all of the leaves that keep falling onto my grass. This evening  I am going with Kathy cat to a special Harvest Supper where we will meet Sheila sheep, Mark mole, Pearl pig and Doodle dog. Mango may come too if I can find him. He seems to be spending a lot of time buried in the leaves lately, he has such fun in there.  I have heard that there will be a scrumptious apple crumble to eat with lovely, creamy, yellow custard so I am looking forward to it very much.  Love from Sherbetx

Oh dear, Sherbet is worried about Kizzy horse again

Oh dear,  I am little bit worried today.  The postman with the red van brought me a letter from Kathy cat. The letter said that Kizzy had fallen in her stable while she was trying to get up after her nights sleep.  Kathy told me it was not as bad as before but it is clear that Kizzy is getting very old and much weaker.  Oh poor Kizzy and poor Kathy cat who loves her so much.  I am sending them rainbow coloured thoughts and lots of love to make Kizzy well and strong again.
I have been thinking about Kizzy when she was young and healthy.  She so  loved to run around in the fields with her friends from the farm.  Now she lives a quiet peaceful life and thank goodness she has a friend like Kathy cat who comes to take her out in the forest where they enjoy each others company so very much.  Get well soon Kizzy,  I do hope you are soon back on your feet with no nasty aches and pains to stop you from your lovely woodland walks.  Love and blessings from Sherbetx

Sherbet has the most wonderful news !

I have the most wonderful news today.  The postman with the red van brought me a letter from Kathy cat and Oh, what good news !  She told me that Kizzy horse has recovered !  Her wounds have all healed and she is eating her food again.  The best thing of all is that Kathy cat can ride her again in the forest.  Kizzy is so happy to be able to walk properly again and Kathy is delighted to be able to ride her old friend again.  I am so very happy for them both as I have been so worried for Kizzy.  She is not a young horse anymore and I was very afraid that she would not regain her strength after her fall.  She is a very brave and strong horse.  Hooray, Hooray, Hooray,  Kizzy horse is well again ! Thank you to everyone who wished her well. Love Sherbetx

Sherbet has very sad news from Kathy cat

Oh dear, I have had some very sad news from Kathy cat.
She has told me that Kizzy horse has fallen and hurt her leg. Kizzy is not a young horse anymore but she is a very special loving horse and Kathy cat really loves to ride her in the woods.  Because of her injury, Kathy cat cannot ride Kizzy anymore and now she just takes her for walks. It is very sad for both of them because Kizzy loves taking Kathy for rides and Kathy loves riding Kizzy.
I am sending all of my best get well soon blessings to Kizzy horse and wish her many more rainbow coloured days with Kathy cat.

Sherbet is preparing for a Jubilee garden party

Hello dear friends,
This is just a very quick note from me to say I am very busy preparing for a special garden party, in honour of the Queen of England's Diamond Jubilee on Tuesday.  Here at Clover Cottage,  I will gather together with several of my friends. We will decorate the garden with Union Jack flags, eat cup cakes made by Pearl and drink home made fruit juice. It will be such fun!
We may have a little dance around the garden too. Tomorrow I am expecting Kathy cat to arrive from far far away, she is bringing me some new clothes to wear for the jubilee party so please join us on that day. I will be very proud to show you my new outfit made especially for me by the very talented Kathy cat.
See you all soon.  Love from Sherbetx

Sherbet arrives home to Clover Cottage

Oh my goodness, it seems that I have been away such a long time. I had a really wonderful time staying with Kathy Cat. I did stay longer than intended as I do so enjoy her company. I was so very surprised to see all of the cats from Greengate Farm waiting for me by my kitchen door. Oh dear, that was very strange, they all looked so hungry and I saw that there  was no milk left in the hedgehog saucer ( Doodle had been feeding the hedgehogs while I was away)  I could only imagine that the farmer at Greengate Farm was away too as the cats had not been fed. I do hope he is not unwell. When I take the cats back I will go and make sure that all is normal at the farm.  Pearl always says it is very important to be kind to our neighbours and the Farmer is my only neighbour in Wiggleway Lane so I am very happy to be a good friend to him. I must rush off now and search in my kitchen cupboard to give the cats some of my special, crunchy, rainbow coloured cat biscuits before I take them back to the farm. I am so happy to be back home and I am very excited that I will soon have some new clothes made especially for me by my dear, talented, kind friend Kathy cat.  Love from Sherbetx

Kathy cat is making Sherbet some new clothes

Today I am going to visit Kathy cat for a few days. I will tell you a secret. Kathy cat is making me some new clothes. She is really so amazing because as well as knowing all the names of the plants and the trees, and  everything about gardening, she also knows how to make beautiful clothes. You see, I am actually very happy just wearing my cosy woolly white coat but sometimes I think it would be nice to have a change. At the moment, the wardrobe in my bedroom only  contains my  gardening boots and my  gardening gloves. It would be so nice to cheer it up with some new clothes. My main problem has always been that the shops in the village at the other end of Wiggleway Lane do not have any clothes to fit me. As you may have noticed,  I am slightly round and my ears stick up on top. Kathy cat is clever enough to be able to make me special clothes to fit my figure and I am very grateful to her. When I visit Kathy cat,  I will try on my new clothes and she will make any adjustments that need doing so that I can look absolutely splendid. I will see you all when I get back. Love from Sherbetx

Sherbet is grateful for a wonderful day

It is such a lovely sunny morning here at Clover Cottage  so I am at the moment  riding my bike along Wiggleway Lane to the local village to buy some more seeds for my vegetable garden. I am taking special care to notice all of the trees and hedges and wildflowers on the side of the lane ( I am trying also not to fall off my bike as I wobble when I look sideways !) Kathy Cat has taught  me all of the names of nearly everything I am likely to see. She is very clever and knows everything about gardens and nature.
I am also going to treat myself to a little picnic on the way back. I will find a lovely shady tree, sit underneath it for about half and hour, eat my banana, drink my orange juice and quietly sit in peace and enjoy the silence. Oh I wish you could all join me on this wonderful day under the tree in Wiggleway Lane. I am so grateful for a day like today.  Love from Sherbetx

Sherbet is back from his Easter Holiday

Hello everyone. I have missed you all so much over Easter,  but I am back now at Clover Cottage and I am sure I will be very busy over the next few days looking after my garden.  It looks like it has not rained much here. My grass is looking a little bit brown around the edges so the first thing I will do is find my watering can and my hose and give everything a really good sprinkle with water to revive my  flowers, my vegetables and my grass. I am grateful to know that my friends Doodle, Mango and Pearl did their best in taking care of everything but it really is such a lot of work especially when it does not rain.

I had a really wonderful time with Kathy Cat and I did indeed ride Kizzy horse through the forest. I had to cling on tightly to his ears as I did feel a very long way off the ground. I am not used to riding on a horse but Kathy Cat told me that Kizzy was a gentle old horse and would be very kind to me. I really enjoyed spending time in  Kathy Cat’s wonderful garden. I will show you some of my holiday photos. The only problem I had, was that I could not find a comfortable flower pot to sit on, they were either too big or  too small, I almost felt like Goldilocks and the 3 bears, so I just sat among the  flowers and the vegetables and even on some rocks which I must say were a little bit rough on my delicate bottom bits! Anyway I have to go now to give my hedgehogs a saucer of milk, they must be very thirsty. Love from Sherbet x

Sherbet is away for Easter

I have decided to go and visit Kathy Cat for a few days over Easter as I miss her so much.   I am really looking forward to it as she said I would be able to ride with her on Kizzy horse through the forest. What fun I will have. Kathy is also an expert at all things to do with gardens and she knows the names of all of the flowers and all of the bushes and trees, so while I am there I will take lots of notes and come back and teach Doodle, Pearl and Mango what I have learned. I am sorry I do not have much news today but I am tired out after all of my spring cleaning and I am going to give myself a rest. I wonder if Kathy Cat has a flower pot I can sit on in her garden? I will be away for a few days so I will write again when I get back. Love from Sherbet x

Kathy Cat cooks a scrumptious meal for Sherbet Sheep

Well, I have very good news today, I have heard from my new sheep friends from far far away that Hug a Sheep Day is on October 27th so it gives all of us sheep plenty of time to make sure our wool is silky soft and smelling sweet ready for a lovely day full of hugs. I must say that I do feel particularly handsome lately after the lovely bath I had before my party. Pearl put some special lotion on my wool to bring out my curls and even though I am usually a very modest sheep, I must say that when I looked at myself in the mirror I thought I looked just like a film star. Forgive me if I sound a little vain but it is always best to be honest. I actually have a guest here with me today at Clover Cottage. Kathy Cat has come to share a meal with me and not only is she sharing a meal but she is at this very moment in my cosy kitchen very kindly cooking it for me. We both love to eat lots of vegetables in all the colours of the rainbow, so I picked her a big basket full of fresh, healthy vegetables from my garden and she is inventing something very scrumptious with them, I know this as there are some very delicious smells coming from my kitchen and it is making me very hungry.  Yummy Yummy said my tummy! Oh, Kathy Cat  has just called me and told me that the food is ready . I must rush off now .  Goodbye for now. Love Sherbet x

Sherbet gets a lovely surprise when Dot the spotty cat brings him some flowers and a message from Kathy Cat

What a pleasant surprise I had this morning. Kathy Cat has sent one of her friends over to give me a message and some flowers. Her friend is called Dot, she is covered in beautiful pink spots. The message is that Kathy Cat will be coming to my birthday party tomorrow. Even though she lives far far away she will find her way here by riding on her friend Kizzie the horse. She said she will also bring Milly Mouse who will ride on Kizzie's head and keep her balance by holding onto Kizzie's ears. That will be lovely,  I do so look forward to seeing my friend Kathy Cat again and maybe as she is coming so soon she can remind Doodle of the names of the trees. I think it is so wonderful how all of my friends are helping each other especially when some of them are so little like Milly Mouse. It would be very difficult for her to come all the way here on her own as her legs are so tiny it would take her such a long time that she would miss the party.

I had a lovely bath this afternoon to make myself especially handsome for my party tomorrow. I used some lovely scented  bubble bath given to me as a birthday present from Pearl, it was scented with flowers from my garden. How lovely it feels to have soft, clean, scented wool.

Sherbet gets a big letter from Doodle

Today, the postman brought me a big letter from Doodle and in it he had put a lovely painting of some trees. He told me that when he went for a nature walk with Kathy Cat, she taught him all of the names of all of the trees in Wiggleway Lane. He was so inspired by the lovely trees she showed him that he decided to paint them. I see that he has not put the names of the trees underneath so I think he has already forgotten their names. I think I should invite Kathy Cat to come and stay again so she can take him on another nature walk and remind him of all of the names. Sometimes Doodle does not listen properly as his head is always full of lots of creative thoughts but we all forgive him as he does paint such lovely pictures.

Sherbet writes letters to his friends who live far away then picks spinach for his tea

Today I did not do too much as I had worked a lot in my garden yesterday so today I spent some time reading my books and writing some letters to my friends that live far away, Sheila Sheep and Kathy Cat and Reginald Rabbit. I miss them all very much but writing long letters to them helps me feel close to them and I know they love to hear my news. I tell them about all the adventures that happen in my amazing garden.  I have so much news lately, news about Kizzie the horse and the cows' party and my cup cake party and so many other interesting things. When I had finished my letters and had put them in envelopes with stamps on ready to post in the post box at the other end of Wiggleway Lane, I went out to pick some spinach from my vegetable garden. There was so much spinach it was a real joy to pick it and I know it is so good for me. I piled it high into my basket as I know that when I cook it, it becomes so much smaller so I have to cook lots and lots.  I love spinach and I will eat it this evening and maybe save some for tomorrow too.

Kizzie the horse comes to visit Sherbet

I have to tell you a funny thing that happened to me today. I was in my kitchen eating my lovely breakfast of toast, butter and some of Pearl's delicious home made strawberry jam when I heard someone outside trying to turn the doorknob on my kitchen door. I thought who could that be as usually all of my friends do a little knock knock before they enter. Even though everyone is welcome to Clover Cottage I know that all of my friends like to be very polite and good mannered so they do not just walk staright in without knocking even if my door is always open. It was a bit strange but I was not afraid as I live in a friendly place in the countryside. I peeped out of my kitchen window to see if I could see who it was and I saw a big white tail swishing around.  I opened my door and there biting on my doorknob with her big horse's teeth was Kizzie the sweet old horse from the farm at the end of Wiggleway Lane. She had been trying to get into my cottage to say hello but could not quite manage to turn the knob, of course she has not learned proper manners like my other friends but I understood that she was not being bad mannered she just wanted to be friendly. Kizzie is a special friend of Kathy Cat, while Kathy Cat was here visiting me she spent a lot of time also with Kizzie. Kizzie lets Kathy ride her, they are very best friends. Anyway I took Kizzie to my vegetable garden, pulled up some lovely, big, fresh, crunchy, orange carrots and fed them to her. She loved them, she munched and munched and munched until every little bit was gone. It was a lovely start to my day to have a visit from Kizzie.
