Sherbet has had a very busy morning

What a lovely sunny day it is today. I can see the most wonderful rainbow colours dancing all around my garden. Well, when I say they are dancing, I mean that the red poppies are swaying in the breeze, the green leaves on my oak tree are fluttering around, the yellow sunflowers are turning their heads to the sun, the green peas are popping their heads out of their leafy stalks and the black and orange bees are buzzing around, darting in and out of my flower garden.
I am a little bit late with my story today as this morning I have been so very busy doing my garden tasks. You cannot imagine how many brown bits I had to cut off of my  plants and flowers. Now though they look so much more beautiful and here I am at this very moment, standing in my garden at Clover Cottage very tired after my mornings work but very proud to be gazing at a vision of a purely delectable mixture of rainbow coloured flowers with no brown dried up bits to spoil their perfection. Oh what joy!   I am now going to relax with a nice cup of mint tea and read some words from my wise words books. Thank you for joining me at Clover Cottage today. Love from Sherbetx

Sherbet welcomes you to Clover Cottage

Oh, there you are.  I have been standing here at my front door waiting to welcome you to Clover Cottage.
I would love to invite you in and make you a deliciously refreshing cup of hot mint tea, made from my very own home grown freshly picked mint. While you are sitting at my kitchen table I would also love to share with you some of Pearl's special home made blackberry and apple pie.
How delightful that I have so many wonderful, loyal friends around the whole wide world.  I just want to tell you today that I appreciate you very much indeed and I always look forward to telling you my little stories.  I do hope you enjoy reading about my adventures here at Clover Cottage.  Thank you for your wonderful friendship. I truly do treasure it and I am sending you a huge wheelbarrow full of rainbow coloured blessings to keep you safe and happy wherever you go. Love Sherbetx

Sherbet has a most charming French visitor

I awoke very early this morning after a very tempting dream of rhubarb pie and custard.
I opened my kitchen door with a bottle of milk in my hand ready to fill the saucers for my hedgehogs, when I heard a strange and delicate voice. The voice said Bonjour monsieur!  I looked around me and there, coming up my garden path was a beautiful French poodle with a pink bow tied onto a pom pom on her head.
I said Bonjour to her too and asked her where she was from.  ( Luckily Pearl had taught me to speak some French)   She said she was a visitor here, all the way from Paris. She told me that she had heard of the famous Sherbet Sheep and was curious to meet him. I told her I was Sherbet Sheep and that I was absolutely delighted to make her aquaintance.  When she told me her name was Angelique, I thought she may be an angel!  I asked her to join me in my kitchen for a cup of my special tea made from the mint in my herb garden.  She told me that she found my company most charming. I was very flattered and I felt my cheeks turn a brighter shade of pink, in fact they turned nearly as pink as she was!  After a most pleasurable hour, mostly discussing French food, I might add, it was time for her to leave, so regretfully we said au revoir to each other at my garden gate.  I do hope she visits me again one day, I did so enjoy sharing a pot of mint tea with her.

Sherbet spring cleans Clover Cottage

I have been so busy spring cleaning Clover Cottage this morning that it has worn me out.
I dusted or washed every single little thing that I could find, even an old pair of Mango's boots that he left here.
I  took all of my books with wise words in, out of the bookshelf and wiped each one with my duster even though they had no dust on , maybe that is because I am always reading them so they do not get a chance to sit around for long !
Anyway  I have just made myself a lovely refreshing cup of mint tea with fresh mint from my  herb garden and I am going to just sit on my flowerpot and relax for the rest of the afternoon.
 Love from Sherbetx
