Happy Easter from Sherbet Sheep sitting in a patch of daisies.

Happy Easter to all of my friends from nearby and far far away.
As you can see I am sitting here surrounded by beautiful little daisies. Oh how I love these simple little flowers.
I remember making daisy chains when I was just a little lamb. I would sit on the grass as I am doing now and I would make a little hole in the stalk of one daisy and then I would thread another daisy stalk through the hole, then I would do the same again and again and again until I had a long chain of daisies, when the chain was finished I would attach the 2 ends together and make a garland for my neck or my head . I always tried to pick daisies with the longest stalks. Some of you may think that it is a girly thing to do and I am boy but I don't see why boys should not enjoy and wear daisies too.
I am not sure if I can remember properly but I think there is a saying that if you can step on 3 daisies then Springtime has arrived. Well here I am sitting on hundreds of daisies in my garden at Clover Cottage so I do think Springtime has definitely arrived.

Happy Mothers Day

Happy Mothers Day to all the mothers in the countries that are having their special day today. To everyone else I am wishing you a very happy and blessed Sunday.
I have decided to sit here surrounded by my daisies and meditate today, so I am not going to talk much except to say goodbye for now . Love Sherbetx

Sherbet is back at Clover Cottage

Ah, my dear, dear, loyal friends.  How lovely to see you all again.   I must say I have had a nice peaceful time at the seaside and I am now back at Clover Cottage.   You may think I am looking a little bit untidy,  but you see,  I am feeling so relaxed that I just feel like wearing my casual country clothes.  I am quite content to just sit here surrounded by daisies.  I must apologize for my strange, bent ear.  You see it was very windy yesterday and my ear was blown right down and so far it has not come up again.   I will try not to worry about it.   Pearl says that I still look very handsome even with odd ears. She tells me that even if I had no ears at all then it would not matter as it is my kind soul that matters most.  Pearl always says such wise things and I always listen to her because I can learn so many wonderful things from her.  Well, let me tell you what happened when I arrived back at Clover Cottage. First of all the naughty slugs had eaten all of my best lettuce in my vegetable garden so I will have to plant some more seeds. The good news is that I have noticed a new birds nest in my oak tree.  Oh how exciting !   I cannot wait to see if there are any baby birds in there.  I will listen very carefully early  tomorrow morning in the stillness, with my ears wide open ( that is if I can get my bent ear wide open!)  If I am very lucky I will be able to hear the tiny chirps of baby birds as they wait for their mother to bring their breakfast to them.  I will let you know what happens in my next story.

Sherbet is sitting in daisies

Oh what joy ! There is nothing better than sitting on fresh, deliciously, grassy smelling grass with millions of little daisies growing out of it.  Oh how blessed I am to be able to enjoy this simple pleasure.
As you can see I am wearing my country clothes.  I am a true country Sherbet Sheep today.
I know you may have missed me lately,  I have certainly missed you. I must tell you that I have been a little bit busy touring around some of the most delightful places imaginable.  You will see my photos here on this story page.  Ah now,  I must leave you as I am going to lay down on this grass and look up at the clouds. Sherbet enjoys working in his garden with his friends

I woke up to a lovely sunny morning with the birds singing sweetly in my ears.
I was still half asleep though when I suddenly remembered that I had asked Doodle, Pearl and Mango to come to help me with my garden tasks today.  I had asked them to have breakfast with me this morning too and I knew they could be here any minute, so I jumped up quickly and rushed into my kitchen to start putting out things on my kitchen table.  Just as I was reaching into my cupboard for my jar of Pearl's homemade blackberry jam, there was a knock on the door and in came my dear friends. Yummy! I smelled the delightful aroma of freshly baked bread as they walked in.  Pearl was carrying in her basket a delicious wholemeal loaf that she had made to my very favourite recipe. It had sunflower seeds and sesame seeds in it. Oh how absolutely scrumptious,  I just could not wait to eat it.
Doodle had brought some crunchy red and green apples that he had been given by the farmer at the other end of Wiggleway Lane and Mango brought me a little bunch of daisies to brighten up the kitchen table. How kind they all are.  I put a spotted jug of freshly squeezed orange juice on the table and a pot of tea for Pearl, made with mint from my herb garden.  After eating our absolutely delicious breakfast, we were ready to start work in the garden.  Doodle, Mango and Pearl all jumped into my red wheelbarrow, I gave them their tools and I pushed them all to my vegetable garden where we spent a very happy morning weeding, planting new seeds, raking earth, collecting fallen leaves and gathering a whole basket of ripe vegetables.  I do so love the simple pleasure of working in my garden and it makes it all so much more special to share it with my friends. I am very blessed to have such wonderful helpers, and this evening, to say thank you to them, I will cook them a lovely healthy meal full of my home grown rainbow coloured vegetables.
