Sherbet is relaxing in a Swiss meadow

Well, here I am again almost falling asleep in this meadow in Switzerland.  I have been walking through this long grass and picking wildflowers. It is a little bit difficult as I am not very tall and the grass is higher than me and a little bit wet.
My feet are feeling quite soggy and I have bits of grass stuck all over my shoes, BUT
how lovely to be here, I am grateful to have soggy feet if it means that I can enjoy this delightful place.

Sherbet is resting after his morning walk

Ah, how peaceful it is here. I am just having a little rest after my early morning walk.  You may be wondering where my boots are, well I have taken them off and they are waiting for me under a nearby oak tree.
Oh how beautiful Wiggleway Lane is these days.  The hedgerows are full of wild flowers, the butterflies are fluttering happily in and out of the long grass, the birds are chirping in the trees, the bees are buzzing and the spiders are spinning fine, new webs.  Oh how blessed I am to be sitting here on this rock surrounded by the simple pleasures of nature.

Sherbet visits Doodle in his art studio

It was such a lovely breezy, warm morning that I decided I would have a pleasant, healthy walk to visit Doodle in his art studio. I packed a little picnic with some of Pearl's  homemade bread  and some freshly picked tomatoes from my garden, and  poured some  crunchy sunflower seeds and pumpkin seeds into a little bag. I was sure Doodle would be glad to share it with me when I arrived.
I certainly enjoyed my walk along Wiggleway Lane, taking notice of all the new fresh green leaves that are springing up in the trees and the bushes. Oh and how lovely it was to stop and look closely at the abundance of wild flowers in the hedgerows. It is such a delight to have the time to be close to nature. I picked up a tiny green grasshopper and he stayed on my shoulder all the way to  Doodle's art studio. It was fun to have my new little friend with me as I do love all the little creatures.
When we reached Doodle, we found him as usual being very creative. He was painting one of his big pots in all the colours of the rainbow and I noticed he had signs to remind himself to feed his tadpoles and to collect some stones.  Now, when I saw Doodle hard at work making beautiful things it reminded me very much of my 2 dear friends who have moved away from a house not far from the house of Marise Mouse, they are called Ada and Eli and I am thinking of them now as I know they are both very good at being creative and they paint lovely pictures.
I am very sure that even though they now live far far away they would love to come and feed tadpoles with Doodle and help him paint his pots. Oh how lovely it is to be around Doodle today and to see all the interesting things in his life. I am very blessed to have such a creative friend like Doodle. Love from Sherbetx

A new name for the farm at the end of Wiggleway Lane

Well, Pearl, Doodle, Mango and I really enjoyed our scrumptious Italian meal yesterday evening and we are so grateful to the farmer for making it possible. Doodle has painted him a delightful picture of his farm to express our gratitude and we are going to take it over to him this afternoon. After our delicious meal yesterday we all sat around my kitchen table and thought of a name for the farm at the end of Wiggleway Lane so that no-one could get lost ever again trying to find it. We thought of so many names, Mango said it should be called Flower Farm and I said but they do not grow flowers there only wild flowers! Doodle said it could be called Fruit Farm so Pearl said but they do not grow fruit there only wild fruit! I said why not call it Farmer's Farm but Pearl said well, no I am sorry Sherbet but that does sound rather silly. She said I have a good idea that we can tell the farmer, I think it should be called Greengate Farm because it has a big green gate. Oh what a brilliant idea we all said to Pearl. Thank goodness Pearl is so clever, we are so lucky to have such a wise friend. Greengate Farm is a wonderful name and we hope the farmer likes it, we also hope he likes the painting Doodle made especially for him.
