Sherbet sheds a little tear as he says goodbye to Reginald Rabbit

This morning I was very sad as I had to say goodbye to my very precious friend Reginald Rabbit.
We shared a very tasty breakfast together of freshly squeezed grapefruit juice, porridge with blueberries and crunchy toast spread with Pearl's special homemade marmalade.  Reginald enjoyed his breakfast very much.  For his very long journey, I gave him a packed lunch including some juicy red apples from my tree and some sandwiches made with Doodle's delicious homemade granary bread.  Reginald walked around my garden one more time saying goodbye to all the little creatures that he is always so fond of, and we walked down the path together to my garden gate.  We gave each other huge squeezy hugs and Reginald promised to visit again as soon as he could.
I waved goodbye to him and watched him go all the way until he disappeared around the bend in Wiggleway Lane. I did shed a little tear but then I thought the best way to be happy again is to go and water my lovely Spring flowers and my one pink rose so that is exactly what I did and it really did make me feel better.  Reginald Rabbit is always in my heart and I look forward to the joyful day when we will see each other again.

Saying good-bye is always hard. Eli and Ada will be saying good-bye to their friends soon as the are moving to another country. Even though they are happy to be closer to their family in one place, they will miss their family in the other. Thanks for sharing your story Sherbet!

Dear Eli and Ada,
I am very sure you will be scrumptiously happy in your new home. Before I lived in Clover Cottage, I lived in many different places and in each place I made a new garden and new friends and everytime I moved, I had to leave my old friends behind. But even though I moved away, my friends still stayed being my friends and we still see each other even though we live far far away from each other. Just think about me and Reginald Rabbit and me and Sheila Sheep, who I have known since I was a lamb, and just think of me and Kathy Cat. All of them live far far away but we visit each other and we always write to each other. You will also make wonderful new friends and stay in touch with your old ones and when you have really best friends they are always your best friends and will stay your best friends for ever and ever, now isn't that a wonderful rainbow coloured thing!
PS I hope you will both still write to me from your new country. Love from Sherbetx

Dear Miss Fengirl,
Thank you for your kind and compassionate words. I know you understand very well how I feel. I miss Regianald Rabbit every day but he is in a very peaceful place and because I know he is happy that makes me feel so much better.
