Sherbet is back from his Easter Holiday

Hello everyone. I have missed you all so much over Easter,  but I am back now at Clover Cottage and I am sure I will be very busy over the next few days looking after my garden.  It looks like it has not rained much here. My grass is looking a little bit brown around the edges so the first thing I will do is find my watering can and my hose and give everything a really good sprinkle with water to revive my  flowers, my vegetables and my grass. I am grateful to know that my friends Doodle, Mango and Pearl did their best in taking care of everything but it really is such a lot of work especially when it does not rain.

I had a really wonderful time with Kathy Cat and I did indeed ride Kizzy horse through the forest. I had to cling on tightly to his ears as I did feel a very long way off the ground. I am not used to riding on a horse but Kathy Cat told me that Kizzy was a gentle old horse and would be very kind to me. I really enjoyed spending time in  Kathy Cat’s wonderful garden. I will show you some of my holiday photos. The only problem I had, was that I could not find a comfortable flower pot to sit on, they were either too big or  too small, I almost felt like Goldilocks and the 3 bears, so I just sat among the  flowers and the vegetables and even on some rocks which I must say were a little bit rough on my delicate bottom bits! Anyway I have to go now to give my hedgehogs a saucer of milk, they must be very thirsty. Love from Sherbet x

Sherbet is away for Easter

I have decided to go and visit Kathy Cat for a few days over Easter as I miss her so much.   I am really looking forward to it as she said I would be able to ride with her on Kizzy horse through the forest. What fun I will have. Kathy is also an expert at all things to do with gardens and she knows the names of all of the flowers and all of the bushes and trees, so while I am there I will take lots of notes and come back and teach Doodle, Pearl and Mango what I have learned. I am sorry I do not have much news today but I am tired out after all of my spring cleaning and I am going to give myself a rest. I wonder if Kathy Cat has a flower pot I can sit on in her garden? I will be away for a few days so I will write again when I get back. Love from Sherbet x

Sherbet spring cleans Clover Cottage

I have been so busy spring cleaning Clover Cottage this morning that it has worn me out.
I dusted or washed every single little thing that I could find, even an old pair of Mango's boots that he left here.
I  took all of my books with wise words in, out of the bookshelf and wiped each one with my duster even though they had no dust on , maybe that is because I am always reading them so they do not get a chance to sit around for long !
Anyway  I have just made myself a lovely refreshing cup of mint tea with fresh mint from my  herb garden and I am going to just sit on my flowerpot and relax for the rest of the afternoon.

A Sunny Sunflower day

The days have been so sunny lately that it makes me think of sunflowers. I was also thinking this morning, as I was tidying up my garden, that one of the things I really like doing is untangling all of those tangled up bits of long, creeping, winding stalks that all seem to take each other over. I particularly like the twisty ones, that twist like long curls around each other.  I love untwisting them and freeing them all so that they can have lovely independant lives and are free to creep in any direction they want to go. Sometimes it is really hard work as some of them are really tough so I am so glad I have a good assortment of gardening gloves to protect my delicate skin from scratches.
I wish you all a lovely sunny day wherever you are. Love from Sherbetx

Sherbet is meditating

I woke up this morning feeling so grateful for all of the wonderful blessings in my life.
I look around me and I have so much to be thankful for.  The sun is shining, the grass is all springing up in new shades of green and all the little vegetable seeds I have been planting lately have popped out of the ground in a jubilant display of green baby leaves.  I feel so blessed, that I am going to sit quietly in the bright sunshine on my lovely fresh grass and meditate.
I will just imagine I am bathed in pure white light just like Reginald Rabbit .
I will say goodbye now until tomorrow,  as I am now going to settle down peacefully and meditate.
Love and blessings and pure white light to all of you

Sherbet sheds a little tear as he says goodbye to Reginald Rabbit

This morning I was very sad as I had to say goodbye to my very precious friend Reginald Rabbit.
We shared a very tasty breakfast together of freshly squeezed grapefruit juice, porridge with blueberries and crunchy toast spread with Pearl's special homemade marmalade.  Reginald enjoyed his breakfast very much.  For his very long journey, I gave him a packed lunch including some juicy red apples from my tree and some sandwiches made with Doodle's delicious homemade granary bread.  Reginald walked around my garden one more time saying goodbye to all the little creatures that he is always so fond of, and we walked down the path together to my garden gate.  We gave each other huge squeezy hugs and Reginald promised to visit again as soon as he could.
I waved goodbye to him and watched him go all the way until he disappeared around the bend in Wiggleway Lane. I did shed a little tear but then I thought the best way to be happy again is to go and water my lovely Spring flowers and my one pink rose so that is exactly what I did and it really did make me feel better.  Reginald Rabbit is always in my heart and I look forward to the joyful day when we will see each other again.

Reginald Rabbit is staying at Clover Cottage

What a wonderful evening we all had together yesterday.  Pearl, Doodle, Mango, Reginald Rabbit and I,  all helped to make a delicious pumpkin soup made with freshly picked pumpkin from my garden .
Afterwards we enjoyed some very scrumptious cakes that Reginald had brought with him from far far away. He called them Angel cakes . maybe because they were as light and floaty as angels wings.
This morning Reginald woke up early and started work in the garden. He loves to be in the fresh air and he loves to keep busy. I am very grateful for his help as my vegetable garden and my flower garden need  lots of looking after, especially now in Spring time when things seems to be growing at a very fast pace. I must say I am feeling a little sad today as I know that Reginald will soon have to go home again but I know I must live in the present moment and not worry about tomorrow otherwise I will not be able to fully enjoy my very precious day with my special friend Reginald.
