Sherbet is going home soon

Ah,  here I am again.
I am relaxing very peacefully under this little Sherbet sized tree.
I must tell you that my holiday in this lovely warm place called St Lucia  is nearly at an end.  Oh dear, I am feeling a little bit sad to have to leave as I have made lots of friends here.
I will be going back to Clover Cottage in Wiggleway Lane  on Tuesday.
I imagine it will be a little bit colder there but I do not mind as it will make a nice change for me to be able to wear the lovely warm scarf that Sheila sheep made me.
I am a little bit busy packing my suitcase and I will talk to you again soon.

Sherbet is sitting in a very funny pot

Oh, hello dear friends from all over this big wide world.  I am just resting in this big cactus pot as I am a little bit tired after my early morning walk. It is the funniest pot I could find to rest on and have my picture taken on. If you look closely you will see the scary face on the front of it and the big ears on the sides of it. I am sitting very carefully because there are big prickly bits on this cactus and I do not want to ruin my nice holiday shorts. Kathy cat would be very mad with me if I did as she took great care making them for me.  I  have had to dodge some great big raindrops this morning but here I am now, nice and dry and feeling very healthy after breathing in lots of lovely fresh air.

Sherbet is sitting in a huge pink bush

Well, you may think I  look a little bit silly sitting here in a huge pink bush but I love being surrounded by bright, happy  colours so I am perfectly content.  The colour of these flowers does not exactly go with my shorts but at the moment these are the only holiday shorts I have.  I have asked Kathy cat to make me a new pair so  when they are ready I will do my own little fashion show for you to show them off. I must tell you that it has been raining buckets of water for the last few days so I  have been trying to stay dry. It is a very wonderful thing though to see the plants and trees growing so quickly and so healthily. This is a very green island indeed and it has grown even greener in the past few days. Oh what a joy it is to behold!

Sherbet is at a place called Ti Kaye

What a beautiful place I am in.  This  island called St Lucia is a very spectacular place indeed.   I am in a truly lovely location called Ti Kaye.  I had to walk down lots of steep wooden steps to reach this delightful beach and it was quite hard work for this little Sherbet sheep but even though my little legs are now very tired, it was very worth it as here I am having a lovely time.  I am going to have a delicious  healthy lunch here at a special little beach cafe and then I am going to rest a little bit under a lovely shady tree.  Oh what a truly blessed Sherbet sheep I am.

Sherbet has found a wonderful shell

Oh look at this wonderful,  huge shell I found on the beach.
It is called a conch shell and if I blow in it, it will make a loud, scary honking noise.  The only trouble is I cannot blow in it as the shell is so heavy and I am so little that I cannot lift it up!  Oh dear. I will just have to sit here and admire it's beauty.
Yes, that is just what I will do.  I will sit here peacefully with my thoughts and look at my shell. How fortunate I am to have such a perfect shell to sit next to.

Sherbet is relaxing on a great big rock

Ah,  here I am relaxing on a great big rock on the beach on this pretty island of St Lucia.  I have just eaten a huge scrumptious, rainbow coloured salad.

It is lovely and warm here but I am a little bit afraid that I will get pink ear tops as the sun is shining down on them quite strongly and even though I am wearing sun cream, I still think my poor little ears may burn.   I promise not to stay too long in the sun.
In a minute I will go and sit under a tree, in the shade and drink some lovely coconut water  through a straw from my coconut and eat some delicious, local cashew nuts.

Sherbet picks some wax apples

Oh, dear friends I have missed you all so much.  It has been a little while since I have written to you.
I have been very busy  here on my holiday island.  I decided I would go in search of some delicious fruit. I searched and I searched and I searched and I searched and finally I came across a very beautiful tree.  It was just jam packed full of clusters of a beautiful pear shaped red fruit.
The fruits are called wax apples.

Here I am with a big bunch of them.
They are very scrumptious indeed. They are not really apples and they do not taste of wax, thank goodness!  They look like they are made of red wax though. They have a very refreshing taste . They are a little bit difficult to describe but they are very crunchy and watery and I would say that they taste like a mixture of apples and cucumbers. They are wonderful for quenching my thirst in this warm weather.
I wish I could take some back with me to Clover Cottage.

Sherbet is relaxing after his swim

Hello dear friends,  I am not going to talk much as I am relaxing after my lovely swim in the swimming pool. How lovely it was to feel the cool water on my wool. You will be glad to know that I did not sink and so I am still here to tell the tale . Love from Sherbetx

Sherbet has a swimming pool all to himself

Oh what luxury !  A swimming pool all to myself..
I am going to have a little swim in a minute to cool me down. I am a little bit hot ,
I hope my wool doesn't get too heavy when it gets wet
There is no-one here to save me if I sink. Oh dear I must be careful. I will stay in the shallow end of the pool .
I will see you again after my swim,  at least I hope I will see you again!

Sherbet is sitting under an enormous tree

Oh my goodness, look how little I am .  I have never seen such a big tree in all of my life . I could never even attempt to climb it , it is nothing like my oak tree in my garden at Clover Cottage. I am just sitting here peacefully listening to the many sounds of nature that are popping up all over the place.  Ah how tranquil  it is here, I am a little bit tired,  the sun is warm, I think I will have a little sleep in the shade of this enormous tree, yes that is a very good idea indeed. It has huge leaves to keep me nice and cool and will give me shelter in case it rains as it just may do, I can feel it in the air. Love from Sherbetx

Sherbet is truly in Paradise

Ah, now look at me, this truly feels like I am sitting in Paradise. What a beautiful view I have. I was just having my morning walk when I saw this little place and it looked just right so I sat a while and counted my blessings. Today I have so many new blessings. I have the sea to look at, the sun to shine on me, the birds to sing for me, the flowers to surround me with their perfume and colour, the breeze to cool me and the butterflies to keep me company.  Love from a very blessed Sherbet Sheepx

Happy Easter to all of my friends

Hello my dear friends.  Here I am wishing you a very, very, very  happy Easter.  Happy Easter, Happy Easter, Happy Easter.  I am far far away from home but here is a lovely Easter picture of me taken in my garden at Clover Cottage.  I have grown these daffodils especially for you my dear friends to give you for Easter Sunday.  I am thinking of you all with my fondest most affectionate thoughts. Love from Sherbet the Easter sheep

Sherbet is relaxing in the sun.

Ah, lovely sun. As you can see I am relaxing on the beach in the shade of this beautiful palm .  I am making the most of this sun as it has been raining here a lot lately.  It rains really hard for a brief time, the wind blows, the frogs jump around madly, the cats run for cover and  then it stops as suddenly as it began and all is calm again. I do love the rain though it is a blessing  for all of the lovely plants and trees on this island as they can have a lovely drink and grow lots of new, beautiful, green leaves. Without the rain the grass and the trees start to go brown and that is a very unhappy sight indeed.
