Oh what a delicious French breakfast I had this morning.
I woke up early and when I looked out of the window I saw that it was a little bit rainy here in Paris. Mango's Aunt Manu was still sleeping so I crept out trying not to squeak the floorboards too much. I took myself on a lovely walk around the corner to a very special boulangerie where I found 2 beautiful crunchy crusted baguettes.
The rain had stopped and I managed to get them home free of raindrops and soggy bits.
Aunt Manu had made us a lovely hot pot of tea and had put out 2 kinds of scrumptious home made jam
( confiture). One was made of some special red peaches called vinyard peaches that grow on a tree in Manu's mother's garden, and the other one was made of juicy French apricots. I could not decide which was the best so I was a little bit greedy and spread both of them on my bread. Yummy yum, I enjoyed my breakfast so much, what a treat it was for me .
It was Sunday yesterday and it was very quiet in the streets around Manu's house. We both went out and walked and walked, looking in the delightfully beautiful shop windows as we went, the sky was blue, and it was not very cold. We are eating so much delicious food every day that we wanted to get lots of exercise and so we did, but when we came home we both felt very tired and just flopped down and relaxed with a lovely cup of tea. Yesterday I had bought myself a lovely present from a wonderful shop. A brand new drawing book. Here it is in my picture. Doodle will be very proud of me that I am taking the time to draw while I am here.
I must rush off now as we are going to eat in a very cosy Parisian bistro. I will talk to you all again tomorrow. Love and hugs from a very French Sherbet sheepx

Mango brings a gift for Sherbet
Oh what a sweet little mouse Mango is. This morning he knocked on my door very early and gave me a gift of two perfect cherries. What a lovely surprise for me to start my day with. Of course I invited him in to my cosy kitchen and we sat and enjoyed a delicious breakfast together. I have a big jar of my special home made muesli on my kitchen shelf and it was a delight for me to share it with my little friend. I am afraid my chairs are much too big for Mango to feel comfortable on so he sits on top of my table on his own special corner of tablecloth. I keep a little mouse sized bowl and spoon in my cupboard just for him. he knows he is always very welcome at Clover Cottage. I had invited Pearl and Doodle too but they are much too busy this morning. Doodle is painting in his art studio and Pearl is busy making more of her delicious fruity jam to sell at her roadside stall.

Sherbet is delighted to share his breakfast with visitors
Well, usually as you know it is very quiet here at Clover Cottage, not a sound except for my birds, my frogs, my crunchy leaves underfoot, the distant sound of lambs and cows in the fields at Greengate farm and the slurping of the hedgehogs as they drink their milk. But this morning I woke to a big noise outside, I opened my kitchen door to have a look and there was a motor scooter parking outside my gate. It seemed that I had visitors. A happy faced dog and his little cat friend came walking up my garden path. They said they had been this way before and they wanted to visit the famous Sherbet Sheep while they were here. How delightful! I do love to have someone to share my breakfast with. I invited them both in, sat them at my kitchen table and made them some toast (made from Pearl's delicious home made bread) with some strawberry jam also made by Pearl. I am very lucky to always have an abundant supply of scrumptious jam and bread from my dear friend. I did not have any freshly squeezed orange juice this morning but I did make a lovely hot pot of mint tea made with mint from my herb garden. I chatted with my new friends for several hours before waving them goodbye at my garden gate. They were such nice company that I was a little sad to watch them ride away along Wiggleway Lane. I do hope they visit again soon .

Kizzie the horse comes to visit Sherbet
I have to tell you a funny thing that happened to me today. I was in
my kitchen eating my lovely breakfast of toast, butter and some of
Pearl's delicious home made strawberry jam when I heard someone outside
trying to turn the doorknob on my kitchen door. I thought who
could that be as usually all of my friends do a little knock knock
before they enter. Even though everyone is welcome to Clover Cottage I
know that all of my friends like to be very polite and good mannered so
they do not just walk staright in without knocking even if my door is
always open. It was a bit strange but I was not afraid as I live in a friendly place in the countryside. I peeped out of my kitchen window to see if I could see who it was and I
saw a big white tail swishing around. I opened my door and there
biting on my doorknob with her big horse's teeth was Kizzie the sweet old
horse from the farm at the end of Wiggleway Lane. She had been trying
to get into my cottage to say hello but could not quite manage to turn
the knob, of course she has not learned proper manners like my other
friends but I understood that she was not being bad mannered she just
wanted to be friendly. Kizzie is a special friend of Kathy Cat,
while Kathy Cat was here visiting me she spent a lot of time also with
Kizzie. Kizzie lets Kathy ride her, they are very best friends. Anyway
I took Kizzie to my vegetable garden, pulled up some lovely, big, fresh,
crunchy, orange carrots and fed them to her. She loved them, she
munched and munched and munched until every little bit was gone. It was
a lovely start to my day to have a visit from Kizzie.

Fresh juice full of vitamins to keep us healthy
Today I still have the yummy memory of the tasty pie Pearl made us. I have given her lots more fresh fruit from my garden, pears from my pear tree and more apples from my apple tree and tomorrow she has invited us all to breakfast again and we will drink fresh juice full of vitamins to keep us healthy. Pearl is very wise and knows how to make very delicious, healthy meals from the fruit and vegetables in my garden. I am very lucky to have a friend like Pearl.

Breakfast was just like a dream
Oh the breakfast was just like a dream. We all appreciated Pearl's jam . She told us that she also has some preserved blackberries that she picked from Sherbet's fence a few months ago. I also have some ripe apples on my tree and Mango will help me to pick them.
